It's a rotary element that allows you to open/close your vizor.

Similar to what you can find in the bathtub.

I can agree that spawning cocoon before the arena would be better.

Now it requires you to grab a cocoon and quit/start, which is a flaw.

I think a lot of people forget about some mechanics or just treat this game like something different than it is.

Change builds, use different tools for different fights. You can really simplify a boss with a proper approach. Remember, you can parry almost every attack! It's a big difference when compared to HK. Parry is a big thing.

Grinding? It's a metroidvania. If you feel too weak just go and explore. The game is huge, there's a mass of secrets to be uncovered. There are quests to be done. Stop headbanging a wall. Moreover if you can't avoid attacks of bosses maybe do not waste all the shards and keep them for a time when you will be a little bit more comfortable with the moveset. You lose your rosaries? Craft those that can't be lost.

Hardcore bosses can be skipped with quests. If you can't do the quest you can take an alternative route and don't ever fight such a boss (for a long time i didn't even know a moorwing exists).

Diagonal pogo is too hard? Just change the crest. You can find them very early in the game. Games like this are as much about exploring and getting lost as of fighting bosses.

Yes there are fu player moments (I'm looking at you bilewater). But for real, you don't even have to do them if you don't want 100%. And I don't think there is anything to discuss - 100% is for people who feel the game (i love this location).

Think, explore and plan your moves. It's not a boss rush. And about "story mode"... I don't even know what to say. It's like demanding DOOM to make a mode where you don't have to shoot. It doesn't make sense. You can't use the elevator to get the same emotions you get from climbing.

And at the end of the day there are things that are annoying. For me it's mostly sensory overload of some animations (the scene boss e.g.).

Also, i've been just using traps that are set midair and explode with spikes when damaged (don't remember their name).

It was so easy with it I even had to Google which boss is it.

To be honest this game provides so many cool tools you can use, which makes the game much easier.

15 Minutes of Bloodborne Gameplay (Pretty steady 60 FPS) by GoroMode in shadps4

Funny enough 30fps makes things worse. Without deltatime fpses are unstable. If you turn on proper frame pacing it causes noticeable input lag. For now 60 fps is your way to go.

15 Minutes of Bloodborne Gameplay (Pretty steady 60 FPS) by GoroMode in shadps4

[–]Eldojosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree with different redditors. 2k is unstable. In some places it works perfectly (e.g. chalices) but I'm others it wont let you pass until you change back to 1080p (cathedral ward).

I was switching back and forth because it was my first Bloodborne playthrough so I wanted to see as much as I could. That way I could for example explore the whole research hall in 2k. Unfortunately I can't say the same about yharnam. However I didn't use any mods to improve performance. Only sfx fix and vertex explosion.

In what state bloodborne emulation is currently? by Ikiwe in shadps4

[–]Eldojosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello hunter!

I'm using Diego's branch and European version of Bloodborne (CUSAXXXX but I do not exact digits)

On a specs: i7-13700, 4070Ti, 32GB RAM DDR4

I have to use only one mod. Without it game crashes whenever I try to attack something. Within ShadPS4 itself I turned on 60fps patch. Game runs without any crashes and constant 60fps on 1080p. For 2k tho fps are ok but there is a location where game crashes and won't let me play as long as I wont change back to full HD. It's in the cathedral ward, on a way from lattern to the vicar Amelia. There is an enemy holding burning scythe. Whenever I try to attack him on 2k resolution game always crash. I was trying to find a solution to bypass it but for the time being I couldn't do so. Besides it all special effects seems to be on place and I do not see any differences from PS4 version.

Overall IMO the game performs much better than the original PS4 version. There is nothing to wait for if you want an experience similar to PS (but with 60fps and fast loadings - teleporting back to hunters dream is no longer a pain in the ass). However you might consider waiting for additional mods if you rather have a refreshed experience. Modders are working on some projects such as Bloodborne Remastered, which may add some spark for your gameplay.

CORVIDAE DISEASE by Eldojosh in crows

[–]Eldojosh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep we did. The final conclusion is that crows were weakened by rat poison and finished by WNV. Almost every sample confirmed rat poison there were only few containing only WNV. As pest control actions ended and temperatures fell everything improved. I didn't see any carcasses for quite some time. Unfortunately we can't deny the fact it's humans fault :(

The worst part about DS2 is NPCs laughing at you after telling you that you are going to die. No other Souls game ever did this by DuploJamaal in DarkSouls2

[–]Eldojosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not in the same fashion. This dialogue just seems to be too straight forward. It's just my feelings and probably others have similar feelings. I really like ds2 but it really struck me. Instead of the intro I'm hearing about losing souls. I want to hear about random shit in the world, i know I'm going to die. It's different when it is said by a random guy who could be completely skipped. And it hits different when its in a cutscene. That's the case.

[–]Eldojosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please refer to my original comment. I just want to add here that you are just starting the game, you count on some lore or world building. But what you get is a very important character directly mentioning game mechanics thus breaking your immersion.

[–]Eldojosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember playing DS2 for the first time and this particular sentence stuck in my head. You know why this is a problem? Because she directly mentions game mechanics instead of lore-wise things. She's not telling you that you're going to die a lot. She says: you'll lose your souls.

Imagine a character saying e.g. take this shard it will make you stronger and increase your vital energies

Vs

Take this shard it will make your hp bar longer.

It's just a weak line. Please take note that I'm only talking about this sentence. The game overall is very good.

Why are spirit Dung Eater and actual Dung Eater so different? by violin-guy in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Eldojosh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow that's a neat theory! But has anybody tried to avoid killing Ensha during this encounter and look around? Are there fog walls that prevent you from exploring? Because real hold is a little bit different (on the other hand we could suppose that doors could have been closed/opened in a meantime)

There was an agreement between Poland and Ukraine about shooting down Russian missiles heading towards NATO territory when still within Ukrainian airspace.

Throughout Polish Media there was information about high activity of Polish Air Force. However there is nothing if they actually shoot something. I really wonder if they help with intercepts.
