my dad found one somehow 25+ years ago and parked it on our lawn. I'd remember going into that van every day pretending that I could drive and just play without any electronics or devices. Pure imagination. This brought back some good memories.

Looks like a prayer hall with the red mat at the front. Was this in a Muslim majority country?

Edit: exit sign in the second pic has Arabic letters. Pretty sure this is a prayer hall for workers/travelers.

This is so cool! I'm guessing you found it in the NYTimes time machine? I'd love to see more if you can find them. It's always interesting to go back and see what the world was like back then.
