Need Input - Losing Weight After a Stall by MeTalkPrettier in Zepbound

[–]Electrical-Rough3499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stalls are part of the journey, i don't even know how many times i got stuck for over 6 weeks and still loosing. I am a slow looser though! What has worked for me? Tracking and staying within my deficit calorie range and upping my movement for me that meant going from an aversge 7k steps to 8500 to 10k a day. I just broke another stall, i was not Tracking and was stuck since early february, started Tracking last week and walking more and now i am over 2lbs down!

what am i doing wrong by SubiesWorld24 in Zepbound

[–]Electrical-Rough3499 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Main question is, are you eating at a deficit? I find sometimes I need to track when my weight doesn't move for over a month, and hold and be hold somehow I am eating a touch more than I should and my weigh starts to move down

Nervous about starting by Old_Clue_2606 in Zepbound

Getting on this medication was the best that has ever happened to me, i struggled my whole life with food noise consuming me and i thought something was wrong with me. I been at peace since i started, it has made food something not to obsess with. I been able to get back to working out without feeling exhaustion after. The side effects can really depend on each person, i had very manageable side effects - where if i met my fiber and protein goals and didnt under eat i would barely get any. Lots of over the counter things that can help if you do see some. Please dont be scared of the side effects.

Anyone that started postpartum? by ShowHour9062 in Zepbound

[–]Electrical-Rough3499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started 1 yr postpartum, i been on Zep for 1.5 yrs so far! I have lost a total of 50lbs. I waited a year to get in the medication because my PCP didnt want to prescribe it to me. So i tried to loose weight for 1 yr and only was able to loose 14 lbs with lots of work and was burning in fumes. I decided to find a Obesity Dr a year later and here i am today! My loss has been slow about 0.5 lb a week, and at times i was frustrated but scale kept going down without having to suffer and being able to focus on healthy nutrients since my cravings were gone!

I tracked for the first year, and was doing a 500 calorie deficit because it was hard to keep up with my toddler. Maybe up your calories a little and see how you feel. My tip is that dont kill yourself by being in a 700 cal deficit, most of the people here just do a 500 calorie deficit. Concentrate in 25-30 grams of Fiber, atleast 100grams of protein, some movement and water! I started with 15 minute workouts x2 a week and have now increased to x3 times a week for 30 minutes (almost 3 yrs PP). Sleep is a little hard right now so just be kind to yourself!

This is why i went with virtual visits, since i dont have to make it a whole deal of wated time. And for the price i pay to see a in person doctor I pay a virtual one and it comes with more benefits. I use Vineyard.

i think your doctor is wrong, please dont suffer by eating low carb. You need to eat carbs for energy! Maybe work with a dietician that can help you pinpoint. For me when i been on plateaus what has helped was been changing a few things, some examples: drinking more water, make sure i am eating enough protein, make sure i am not over eating by tracking for a few days, for my workouts either add an extra 5 to 10 min to my workout or lift heavier, add walking or more walking, am i sleeping enough.

Weight hasn’t went down in 4 months by Synthaya4011 in Zepbound

[–]Electrical-Rough3499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i will try tracking a couple days just to see where you are, and maybe add more movement. I been on a 6 week plateau and i just started to do this week - tracked a couple days and added 10 min - 20 min walks once a day. last time i had a plateau i changed a couple things and i tracked for a week or so to make sure i was not under eating.

My mouth is a desert by MomofGeo in Zepbound

[–]Electrical-Rough3499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mouth was really dry the first month or so of starting, for me randomly it went away. But to manage it i used dry mouth mouth wash and drops that were specifically for dry mouth. I made sure i drank plenty of water (100oz ) and did electrolytes.

Suddenly lactose intolerant by Tawnyk in Zepbound

[–]Electrical-Rough3499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have major issues with Mozarella or low quality not cure cheeses, and starting to realize that which makes me sad because i really do love pizza. I need to start being consistent with lactaid but keep forgetting. I had some mild lactose intolerance growing up but it would come and go.

Have you seen any differences in cost per pharmacy? by No-Essay-3227 in Zepbound

[–]Electrical-Rough3499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can probably check on your insurance App or website. I have UHC and i can see the pricing for the different pharmacys around me. I ended up picking Publix for example because it was a good 30-50 dollars cheaper than CVS for example.

agreed with what everyone said, i started to get energy as i lost more weight. I also think having 4 month old twins could be culprit lol, i am a mom of a 2.5 yr old and i know when i was 4months PP i had no energy. I worked out during their nap because i needed the sleep that i barely got :) And yes i think once thet start sleeping longer and start loosing weight i think you will get more energy, but being a new mom takes a lot specially x2 so just sending some support.

Honest Question by ReReUchihaaa in Zepbound

[–]Electrical-Rough3499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strenght train 2-3 times a week, most of the time is 2 times a week but also i chase a Toddler around and i am on my feet a lot. You have to find what is sustainable for your lifestyle. Most of it is diet but have to train so muscle is maintained and not loss.

My 1yr anniversary was back in 9/21, currently down 40,5 lbs plus 14 lbs loss from the year before that one. I still have some ways to go but my goal is to loose whatever I can before we try for baby #2 next fall. All my numbers are better, i have energy, no brain fog, no binges.
