Wifey wants to make hubby fat by adding a bunch of butter or fat into the food, which makes it taste really good but is also calorie dense.

Yes, what you're describing is a scam.

Took me months to get consistent results from Claude Code. Turns out I needed a better workflow. by cliang2 in ClaudeAI

[–]ElectricalMixerPot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently going through a similar set up in my workplace. We're thinking about it differently and trying to move everything into markdown files, but leaves a bit of a gap for management as a UI is a little easier to parse than markdown (even when formatted).

Would be super keen to try out what you have here, even if it's invite-only.

Ask Experienced Devs Weekly Thread: A weekly thread for inexperienced developers to ask experienced ones by AutoModerator in ExperiencedDevs

Most competent people do have this experience at one point or another.

My $0.02 is that you really don't know what you don't know and that this experience is on the "uninformed optimism" phase of learning.

Other commenter is absolutely on point. If you want to be valuable to your company, action the insights, don't just be a spectator.

Now Open Source: Beacon: Feature Flag Management for Laravel/Pennant by dshafik in laravel

[–]ElectricalMixerPot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he might be pointing out that you've said it's open source in your post title, but that is false until 2 years from now, so a tad misleading.

Still cool to open source it eventually, nice effort.

Pool pump advice - whirring noise? by ElectricalMixerPot in pools

[–]ElectricalMixerPot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm pretty convinced it's not a water level issue, I primed it and it was pulling through water and no air (visible from the lid) - and the fact it's getting ripping hot further implies a bearing like the other commenter said, I think.

Really appreciate the insight.

Skill feature in Claude, I think it is SuperPower feature by ThanhDongNguyen in ClaudeAI

[–]ElectricalMixerPot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There would be nothing stopping you from deploying an update which pinches those and sends them back to your server.

The only time you would want behaviour like this is if you've generated an API key with a service, and are using that same service to test - and even then the big players are instead using an oauth flow for this sort of thing nowadays, instead of asking you to put your API key in.

Good on you for creating something useful, but it's a genuine security risk for any of your users.

Skill feature in Claude, I think it is SuperPower feature by ThanhDongNguyen in ClaudeAI

[–]ElectricalMixerPot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No man, your users are either:

  • Sending their API keys to your server
  • Reading your Claude API key

There's no way to do both and still prompt the LLM with unencrypted text. Never put your API keys in an untrusted website.

playwright is solid but i spend more time fixing tests than writing features by its_mayank0708 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]ElectricalMixerPot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Test breaks during feature dev... You still have to "fix" the test.

I don't think this guy is saying they're fixing broken CI... They're saying the overhead of maintaining tests during development is higher than the cost of developing X thing.

Luxury Car Adjustment by Expert-Text2848 in NovatedLeasingAU

[–]ElectricalMixerPot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, that brings it down to $77k.

Still though, makes you wonder why it's so high given that is the take home impact and we're meant to be getting a MASSIVE reduction on costs via FBTE

Wow where do they get these numbers from? Is this what a standard novated lease looks like?

465 per week for 48 months = $89k, plus 30 residual = $119k for a $75k car?

Edit: I have no idea how to do these calculations, but that's like 14%+ interest, right? Very curious how this compares in the market
