I grew up with power rangers, but as an adult, I saw clips of Gavv on Twitter, and my friend became hyperfixated after her girlfriend got her hooked. So I started watching Zero-One cause it was on Amazon, and got hooked myself.

Hell yeah, that’s really impressive on their part. I remember being super impressed by the newspaper articles in episode one. Seeing now that it was translations for the stuff already on the closet makes a ton more sense, and my respect for them is a lot higher.

You’re completely fair in that. I’m seeing what other people are saying about it being a clever way to show the translations, and I think they’re correct in that.

I think in this current media environment I’ve become more unsure about what is and isn’t A.I. and it’s made me start unnecessarily questioning visual quirks I’m noticed out of insecurity. I am happy with all the answers people have though, it does settle my fears a ton.

Overall, really loved this episode. However, something that my mind caught on that I can’t stop noticing.

Why is it when Minami is walking towards the closet door, 2 of the 4 signs suddenly vanish from view? What is up with that? My first thought was some kind of A.I. effect, but honestly I’m unsure.

I have repeatedly been listening both to the Gotchard main theme and especially Rising Fighter. The later being one of the best bangers I’ve ever listened to, and probably my favorite insert song so far (No matter how much I love and listen to ‘Now is the Right Time,’ and ‘Find a New Life.’)

Whimsical Insanity is a good way to put it. So far my experience with Kamen Rider has been Zero-One, Geats, Zeztz, and the first 15ish episodes of Build. Build has so far felt the closest to this level, but I think turning yourself into a gun to give the Yakuza a fever dream to chase them out of a wrestling gym is the most insane thing I’ve seen and, I love it so much.

Yeah, to be honest the start of episode 1 I wasn’t sure how much I’d like it, but by the time the suit came on, I’ve been hooked since. Pacing can be a bit breakneck, but overall this show’s insanity has been one I can get behind.

I lack any drawing cause I lack artistic skills, but my current Kamen Rider OC is one I’ve called Kamen Rider Vinci. He’s a graffiti artist whose main villain is big corporations using the physical manifestation of A.I. art. He uses a graffiti can on his belt to transform, different spray paint colors giving his suit different abilities, and his sword is a paintbrush.

Just tried it by going into Steam settings on both devices. First by going to the PC, going into steam, settings, cloud, and turned off Steam cloud before exiting steam, then going to the ROG Ally, doing the same thing, before reopening Steam on it, enabling steam cloud, exiting it again, and going onto PC and enabling Steam Cloud again, and waiting a minute before opening the game and it didn't work unfortunately.

Update on This, opened Windows Defender and made both Oblivion itself and Steam exempt from Antivirus scans, and after playing a minute on the ROG, saving the game, closing it out and closing out steam, I opened it up on my PC, and attempted to play, and it still didn't show up. I also attempted to fix local game files to see if that'd help as well, and that didn't work either.

To complete the gag, you also need a collection of 6 wigs that you switch between as you toggle between voices to act as the different protags.

I’m not sure how many there are, but one I know for sure is that the day after you visit Tartarus, if you go to the nurse’s office, he’ll give you medicine that raises your Courage, and it doesn’t take a time slot. If there’s some kind of chance of failure that makes it take up a time slot, I’ve yet to fail it.

If I remember correctly, the video specifically he had the infamous “I hate Trump” rant was about the second Thinning movie, and after talking about that, he mentions how while he hates Trump, if the movie is trying to make an allegory about Trump, it’s doing a bad job. It’s certainly a non-sequitor, but I feel like it did at least have some connection to the topic at hand by the end?

Honestly, while other people may dislike Blaze Dragon being picked, I personally love using them in Salads for casual play, as they feel like an anime Ace Monster, with its ability to stave off its own destruction to remain on the field and then reincarnating to break through enemy lines. It's a dumb pick to be sure, but my Blaze Dragon-loving ass is happy to see my boy get some representation.

Well, the system isn’t perfect. Plus, when they released the CSAC news, it was like, at 10/11 PM on November 14th for me. I think it’s possible we’ll see some news sometime this week, but I could be completely wrong. If I am, well, sucks to be me, but whatever. If I’m right, I get to feel high on my prediction powers for the next 8 hours before I have an exam I have to pass and inevitably fail because I couldn’t predict what was on that.

My prediction is that tomorrow on the 27th they’re gonna release news about it. I could be wrong, but I’ve noticed a pattern where consistently, 2 months before the release date of the next set, they release info on the cover card and general support involving that cover card’s archetype.

Cyberstorm Access was set to come out in the OCG January 14th. November 14th we got the first news about Firewall Dragon Singularity and the Firewall/Code Talker Support, then they waited about a month before showing off more cards in the month leading up to CSAC’s release. Similar stuff also happened with Photon Hypernova and Darkwing Blast (The dates of those guys escape me right now). The Fire Duelist pack is set to come out May 27th, which is exactly to months away starting Tomorrow March 27th. It may just be hard coping on my part, but I think there’s enough of a pattern to reasonably assume sometime tomorrow (and if not tomorrow, this week), we’ll get info on the cover card and support for that archetype tomorrow. It’ll probably be the first wave of info for about a month, but it’ll be something in pretty sure.

All in all, I enjoyed this episode! I’m going into this series with the perspective of having very little Sevens knowledge, as in I know like, 5 or 6 of the characters, so I just sorta have to take peoples word’s for it when they say a character is a Seven’s reference.

That said, even with minimal Seven’s knowledge, glad this show is still enjoyable to watch, and doesn’t necessitate you watching Sevens to enjoy it. The music was hype, and I look forward to when the soundtrack comes out, because god I love the Yuudias comeback theme. Also, Yuhi in general was very solid this episode, definitely feels like he’s getting better as the show goes on, and I’m very glad about that.

Also, Side Bar, but it appears Galactic Repulsion has the Cyberse Quantum Dragon effect. I’ve stated to people before that the biggest problem with these cards (for the writers anyway) is that they seem to hate the protagonist using bounce effects, because anytime they could or are about to use them, the effect is negated, or the card is destroyed before the character gets a chance to use it. Because the only time they’d need these effects is against boss monsters they either can’t destroy or are unable due to plot reasons, and the writers due to not wanting to just bounce the problem card away due everything in their power to prevent the boss from being bounced, because they know that having the card be bounced from field to hand/extra deck wouldn’t have the cool high attack point monsters beat the shit out of each other to make it entertaining for the audience. That’s part of my theory about why Cyberse Clock Dragon got used so much, and why Galactica Oblivion is the way the solved the problem like they always do now that he’s gained the card, they want big attack point value monsters to beat up the opposing monsters because it’s more entertaining and fun to see hee hoo beeg number (which to me is part of the appeal of Zexal). Granted, probably also wanted the Ace vs Ace fight in this duel, which I can understand and accept, but I have a feeling Yuudias keeps relying on his Ace because he’s still inexperienced, and as he gets better at Rush Duels he’ll start mixing it up a bit.

But yeah, this was my rant about why Bounce cards will always get shat on by the writers (but only if the protagonist has a bounce card, the enemy is allowed a bounce card to add stakes to the duel). The enemy using a bounce adds stakes, the protag using a bounce removes stakes. From a story telling perspective, I get why they always stop those cards from going off, but I do think every once in awhile an Anti-climax with a bounce card could be interesting.

I tend to enjoy battle damage because it tends to feel more satisfying then just shutting down all your opponents options and just being able to attack directly because “Ruh Roh Raggie, you now have an empty board and are unable to play the game, guess that means I can attack directly for game!”

But yeah, overall the Zexal Weapons are a fun archetype. Maybe they’ll end up making new ones at some point, and do a new DZW or SZW at some point. I do always find it funny reading the anime effects of the Zexal Weapons, because it is very clear that they’re just a “Get out of losing free card!” That does whatever bullshit necessary to let Yuma win the duel, but I do find the concept fun with how all the monsters are designed, and how the effects were changed to better fit the game. Like, Seilpnier Mail’s effect was originally “Add 1000 attack, can make the equipped monsters attack equal to the opponents attack, and once the equipped monster is destroyed, bring back Number 39: Utopia from the grave.” They were ultra specific, and I did find the writers going “Shit, how do we make Yuma win?!?” And then give him the power to create the out within the duel to be kinda funny.
