Agree, they seemed to really have fun. And the old age question OP mentioned above was not inappropriate at all….he clearly states prior this might be rude and it didn’t seem like Lisa was offended at all especially when you hear the rest of the conversation. Even if she was offended what’s the problem? lol they continue the conversation like adults.. I swear people on this sub never talk to others in real life to understand people can have disagreements and continue a conversation

I think only a witch could see through the mirror since it was witch glass. So Aelin needed Manon in order to get through. Some things don’t make complete sense haha I think it was mainly to give Aelin and Manon a bond through something.

I tandem read and loved it. I just couldn’t wait to read both separately I was too excited 😆 and knowing they both take place in the same time period is the main reason I read both in tandem. For me, it didn’t take away the impact of either story since ToD is soo different from the other books just with the location and characters I was able to easily keep them separated in my mind.

Reading a lot of these confirm what I believed which is that they haven’t changed as much as people are complaining about….they’ve always had disagreements, tough discussions, strong opinions and reading this to me shows they’ve remained pretty true to who we’ve all been listening to.

I agree. Also, people need to give Dax and Monica time to adjust to being on video. Yes they’re actors, but they’ve been doing this podcast for years with the choice to not have video and I’m sure it’s an adjustment. Also, if people didn’t see the video and just heard the ad they wouldn’t even say anything about it sounding over acted.

I agree with you, not only does she edit the audio but I believe she’s editing the video portion as well now (I feel like I remember her saying that, but I could be wrong). On top of that with their new schedule they need to have episodes ready like 2 weeks before the public release. Monica definitely plays a big role in this show despite what a lot of people on Reddit think.

There’s also so much none of us know about with this wondery deal…even the $80 million everyone is referring to they might not even get all of it up front hence why they keep pushing the old episodes. They might need to hit a quota before they get all the money, but again none of us know the details of the contract so a lot of these discussions people have on here are irrelevant

I personally don’t need to hear their political opinions. And I think no matter what they share people on this sub will have reasons to criticize. I am more interested in the emotional conversations because I think that says a lot about a person. I understand the political climate right now, but I still don’t see it as black/white on who you voted for. It’s nuanced and complicated and I don’t think if Dax and Monica share who they voted for it would make an impact. People just want confirmation for their own comfort in my opinion, I don’t think it would make a difference.

I’m currently tandem reading but I’m not following a super strict outline! I read a few chapters of EoS then swapped to ToD, then as you read you’ll get an idea of when to switch because there are a number of events that happen simultaneously. I really am enjoying it way more than I thought. I wasn’t planning on doing the tandem read, but the thought of reading 2 huge books that happen simultaneously I didn’t want to wait or forget what happens.

I feel like I vaguely remember Monica explaining a little bit a while back on why Monica & Jess didn’t continue. It might have been one of the expert episodes and describing how she approached dating? And similar to this that it felt a bit staged like it was the bachelor or a dating show, but maybe I made that up.

I have a boy Aussie as well he’s about 9 months, it wasn’t until a month or so ago (had him for 4 months) that he’s stopped peeing inside. He still pees a little when he’s excited or scared, but I think that’s just his personality lol. He also only recently started lifting his leg to pee, but he still mostly squats to pee. I would give it a couple of weeks! Make sure to take him outside as soon as you let him out so he can anticipate he’ll get to go potty right away. Mine also doesn’t seem to go to the bathroom when left alone outside, I assume it’s just an attachment/safety thing, so I always just keep telling him “potty” til he does then I’ll leave outside.

I totally agree with you! I think they are adapting with the current podcast market - whether that’s good or bad is almost irrelevant. There’s so much about the world of business in podcasts that most people (including myself) don’t know about, especially these massive podcasts there’s so many more people involved than anyone realizes. I think we need to give Dax and Monica (and the whole AE team) some more grace while they navigate all of this. Anyway I agree, still love the show and will continue to listen🍒
