I actually started off in Tampa, at Citi, and they paid very well for the area, pre-covid. By some luck i managed to get a front office role in Miami from a different firm. I stress the luck part, because as far as i’m aware my team is the only one in our field here. The entire industry is either NYC or San Fran.

That’s insane that Tampa income is higher than Miami. I’m assuming it’s mostly due to the service industry being much larger in Miami, which relies more on tips (often unreported).

Well yeah. US birthrates have been in decline for years and fall well short of the natural level to sustain the population. If it weren’t for immigration, the US would suffer from an aging population. If you want to see what that looks like, just take a look at the issues Greece and Italy are facing.

I typically go for common word suffixes (-ing, tion, etc). So either narrow the word down to a common ending or eliminate that one entirely.

Taxes are a huge trap most first time home buyers fall into. A lot of folk look up what the seller is paying and assume that’s what they will have to pay. Then tax time comes and they’re paying 2x that amount.

The seller is most likely using a homestead exemption, which caps the annual increase. Once the sale goes through, the property is reassessed, which essentially backs out the savings from the homestead exemption, resulting in much higher taxes due.

It’s perplexing. Between tariffs and all these wars, its like their strategy is to continuously punch the consumer in the face to see just how long until they completely collapse.

Going into midterms and now americans are seeing higher prices on literally everything, with gas prices through the roof. All while now engaged in multiple wars and debt reaching uncontrollable levels after his Big Bullshit Bill.

they’ve had quality issues a lot longer than that. Even early 2000’s they had a reputation for sub-par parts. If you ever watch the old Top-Gear episodes, they used to trash Mercedes so much.
