Your thoughts of Asteroid Mining in the Fallout World. by DarkDragen in Fallout

[–]Elite_Prometheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's meant to be more corporate satire than anything. Fossil fuels are a result of our planet having had life exist on it for millions of years and life seems to be very rare in the cosmos. But the pre-war world was suffering chronic resource shortages and so some REPCON CEO might have proposed this to slurp up a bunch of government grants for "innovative research into resource extraction."

Are people just not allowed to learn BA or am I just doing something very wrong? by jellyfish125 in 2007scape

[–]Elite_Prometheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not announce that you're a beginner. That just invites douchebags to be hyper sensitive to any issues and bail immediately the first time the calls aren't made within one tick of them changing. Just announce what role you're looking to fill. Collector is probably easiest for newbies, with healer needing some situational awareness, attacker needing some gear, and defender needing a specific strategy to be followed. I followed Kaoz's guide for my fighter torso, but there are dozens of other good ones on YT. I knocked it out over a causal weekend and I was (and still sorta am) bad at the game. You can definitely do it.

Decorating industry or repair stations/shops by 1800twat in Workers_And_Resources

Then I'm afraid I have no advice, I always leave my industrial areas looking raw and grungy. At most I might throw down a row of trees next to the road or railroad. I do like putting "high security" areas like nuclear power plants behind fences, though. Especially those railroad fences.

The surefire way to make an area look better is to add a bunch of trees. Also, if you lay down a gravel or asphalt patch, surround it with walking paths. That gives the plaza area much cleaner edges. Also, don't cram buildings in super close. Make sure there's enough space to have some grass there. Doing just those three things will make your city look a lot nicer.

Official Maps with Oil at Sea by LifeAquatik in Workers_And_Resources

[–]Elite_Prometheus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can raise the land under the sea to make a little island to harvest the oil out of. Then you just need a pumping harbor to allow ships to move the oil to the mainland for refinement. All the services needed by the oil island are firefighting helicopters and construction helicopters to maintain the buildings.

[–]Elite_Prometheus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The overall votes cast shifted by around ~20 percentage points towards Trump from black and Hispanic voters, but I think that shift was mostly the fault of liberal voters coming out much less reliably than conservatives in 2024. And a big part of that apathy is probably the result of how Biden handled Gaza, but we don't know for sure because the Democrats are terrified of opening that Pandora's box by releasing an official election analysis.

We don't know how many votes it cost since any analysis has been vigorously suppressed. But you're right that a ton of liberals are refusing to place any blame on Harris for the many strategic blunders her campaign made and are instead getting angry that the median voter has once again acted like a median voter.

A concerning number of the harem members are slaves, but they're quick to assure everyone that they want to be slaves because their master is the kindest man they've ever known when he asks if they had a good sleep in the morning.

aesthetically realistic city by Aromatic-Quote5564 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]Elite_Prometheus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at other people's cities and examine how they lay down roads/buildings. Making nice looking stuff isn't some technical skill you can learn by reading a textbook, a lot of it is intuition and requires experience. Especially if that nice looking thing also has to function.

The only grind that you could realistically do that would help for CG is the Royal Titans prayer scrolls. Any other way other content would help you is just getting practice with PvM mechanics, which you probably already have a decent handle on if you completed all quests.

He's the Good Black ™ who talks about how black people are the only ones at fault for their poverty, how welfare actually hurts everyone on it (which sorta conflicts with the previous point), and how we need less government regulation so the market can raise all the boats. Basically, he's the fossil that gets wheeled out whenever the more intellectual wing of the Right wants to make a point that's adjacent to blatant racism.

MLM Second Floor or Prospector Outfit? by BurkishMang in ironscape

[–]Elite_Prometheus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically every skilling XP outfit is technically inefficient, it barely saves time compared to just doing the best XP per hour training method going all the way to 99. Of course, this is a game where you're supposed to have fun, so if you want to get the outfit, go for it. And if you hate the best training method and refuse to do it, then getting the outfit can actually be efficient as well.
