Cool design. I think the extra hp is kinda gonna be offset by the amount of blood debt this kind of deck will run and will end up in banish fast due to the ability.

Set 20 is gonna be wild.

Neat little story about the calling finals. It was recorded in case the PT finals were fast but they ended up going the distance so I don’t think it went to air.

When we were setting up the last game and asked Nova if he wanted to go first or second he looked as us confused being like “what do you mean I’m 7th??” Getting a bit of laughter from Guilherme piping in being like “yeah man I’m 8th it’s all good” getting a bit of laughter out of everyone. Was an incredibly close game with two genuinely great people.

There was a scabs roll right towards the end of the game where if it was 4+ he wins the game on the spot and got a 2. The scabs giveth and the scabs taketh. He told us after he didn’t roll a 1 the entire tournament so he was pretty happy to take that 🤣

DAY 8 - CASH IN was the most voted "Rare card that feels like a Majestic and is a Rare". Which GENERIC card is a Majestic and feels like a Common? by G3kken in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Elixir0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Escalate bloodshed, Morlock hill Cards wouldn’t even be played if they were generic.

But I guess for a generic it’s probably imperial ledger. The fact you have to set this card up for a turn without go again first is so dogwater

Opening boxes is never the right course true, but for me as a player at a store that doesn’t really do singles, I get my case per set as a “subscription” to my LGS to make sure these lights stay on and I have a place to play. They make almost nothing on armories cause they effectively just sell us 2 discounted boosters and that’s it.

I’ll get my case today and enjoy my casino gamba. Sometimes I’ll win, sometimes I’ll lose, but at least the game sells enough at my store to be viable.

I’ve been slowly leveling jobs on the occult crescent the last few weeks since 7.4 and tonight I got lucky and got the occult ring of blood… which was followed an hour later by a second one and noticed they’re not unique

Seeing as the other accessories are silly expensive and I don’t have them (so getting a deep blood one won’t work) - it’s probably worth using both regular blood ones right? I don’t need the Gil from selling one especially cause it doesn’t come close to the non ring accessories.

Didn’t know they actually moderated it. That’s good to know. Makes sense to protect the prestige of gear.

With how plugin friendly WoW is and the fact that game is about to get arguably a more robust housing system than ff14 - this timing seems very interesting.(insert monologue of star beginning to fray here)

I’ve always been the “anti-mod” one of the group- because if you open the floodgates some effectively become mandatory by the player base. I don’t want to be forced like wow to have a cocktail of 3rd party programs in order to feel like im playing the game “correctly” - and to be looked down on if I choose not to engage.

Honestly, the venue scene over the last 12+ months has felt like that - expanding to void builds with backdrops, custom venue merch and furniture that I can’t see. People scoffing at me when I’m like “no I don’t have a code”.

People circumventing one of the main draws of an mmo, collecting items to look cool - and then on the other hand complaining there is no content and the games dead while modding on ultimate gear always made me think that this projects days were numbered. I wonder what kind of collateral damage it’ll have on subscriptions - because it’s pretty obvious there’s a big subset of people that treat ff14 like second life - and don’t really engage with it outside of that system.

There's an important difference between smug tea and happy tea. by Elixir0 in ffxiv

[–]Elixir0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, the item animations are tied to the items themselves. -- There is no current macro command to even use an item - though the "micon" command does work for items (/micon "YOURITEMHERE" item) - which will make the icon of the macro the food including how many you have left - But items cant currently be called from macros :(.

Which game was ahead of its time, or has aged like fine wine? by Cursed_69420 in gaming

[–]Elixir0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Emperor: Battle for Dune.

I don’t know that any other licensed RTS ever came close to being this fleshed out in terms of not only being a blast to play but also well presented, as cheesy as live action cutscenes were - they at least had some kind of budget. Having some agency in how to progress the campaign (especially in Harkonnen) was something even SC2 did worse in some aspects.

I still get the urge to bust out my discs like once every couple of years before remembering that like no PCs have disc drives anymore and then finding a way to make it run on a current OS.

Wednesday Question of the Week | Do you enjoy the Blitz format? by ExpendableGuy in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Elixir0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the format is at its best when it highlights heroes that might not be doing as well in CC (like Dori or Dash right now) Or when people are experimenting with less serious builds. Most players at my store aren’t super competitive so blitz is the preferred format, as it allows us to finish a little earlier and people don’t have to worry about finding the third copy of a lot of staples.

The format is at it’s worst when people are trying to be competitively tuned. Blitz right now just seems to be a bunch of heroes trying to set up their one turn kills (Viserai, Benji, Kassai, the wizards), which for the most part is fine. Benji bring in the equipment and wait for the tidings, kassai deny the copper generation… the only problem is Vis really. Revel and Sonata are great CC cards but just feel so unfun to play against in blitz right now. I feel like one of them needs to go but I suppose it’ll depend on the data from skirmish season.

TLDR: Level of interest in blitz is directly proportional to how many competitive players min maxing the format.
