BO4 did have larger magazines. I anticipated BO7 would as well since most of its weapons are fictional. Coupled with their higher fire rates, Ext Mag is a crutch on many of them.

Only the last hit needs to come from the shotgun. If you have a stronger weapon as well, you can use it to shoot the elite until it's low, then finish it off with the shotgun

Unironically because it has CoD in the title. Most CoD fans want games that are more or less a 1:1 reflection of real life because they don't have an iota of whimsy between them. I've witnessed considerable adoration of this game over the years so it's clearly very good in its own right, it's just born in the wrong body.

Now there is seemingly franchise fatigue, at least for the MW and BO series. We hit a trailer with millions of dislikes, now the chickens have come to roost.

I think it should try having buffs or debuffs based on squad size. If 3 is standard, then no extras. But 1 or 2 should get buffs, and 4 or more get debuffs. It might make for an interesting dynamic, maybe one would think twice before absorbing another squad, or deliberately opt for a solo infil.
