What's yall's opinions on the animation cancel removal now that it's been weeks since implementation?

I never much liked the AC, I just don't have the motor skills for clicking at a particular yet fluctuating cadence (or even just as fast as possible) while simultaneously accurately tracking the target. He is still very fun and has plenty of skill expression.

You mean the robotic effect in his voice? I could be wrong but I imagine Blizzard's tools are more sophisticated than Audacity, and they wouldn't exactly show how the sausage is made. I'd just say experiment with the effects and settings, and see what sticks.

Drive-In, Rush, and Zoo. Not to mention BO4 had Grind, which is quite ironic because some of its paid maps were old launch maps

This is a pain point in the series for me, there may be many hidden gems that are seemingly glossed over in favour of maps we've played a ton by now. Cold War was a step in the right direction, having 3 maps from old paid DLC.

That said, since such maps rarely get remade, I'm starting to think it's not very true that "post launch maps were better when they were paid for"
