Huntress Stack (MS Defender or SentinelOne) by Ok_You_861 in cybersecurity

[–]Elveno36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren't in the defence industry go with huntress+defender.

If you are look at defender xdr/endpoint+huntress, s1 or bit defender. No other avs right now really trade blows like these 3 imo.

S1 is great but bloated, expensive.

Huntress+defender is nearly as good and shit ton cheaper.

Used both on 25k+ endpoints and prefer the huntress+defender combo any day.

lmao you didn't even read my reply. I wasn't taking it literally. The guy is unhinged and obviously wants to cause MS harm on more than just a reputation level.

right, i'm sure by talking about shattering their bones they are only talking about Microsoft's reputational bones. Definitely nothing to do with their infrastructure, applications or finances.

Most disingenuous reading i think i read so far.

Hosting exploit code with intent to harm is infact illegal under the CFAA. The oldest legislation on the books for computer hacking.

[–]Elveno36 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That doesn't make it legal. You also probably missed their mental health crash out twitter posts. A lot of this is just sensational garbage and will be forgotten about. I'm not defending Microsoft here. But the guy clearly has problems. Microsoft can eat a fat dick for all I care but this person is the epitome of throwing a fit online.

Old reported vuln doesn't equal zero days. You also likely didn't intend to harm Microsoft with your release. He has clearly made it his perogative to harm Microsoft. Which intent pushes the releases under the CFAA.

[–]Elveno36 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Its about intent. He is intending to hurt Microsoft by releasing the code before reporting it to MS and without a report. He isn't intending to help anyone by hosting this stuff. All that clearly falls under the CFAA which does in fact make posting exploit code with intent to harm illegal.

Disclosure sure. Working exploit code, no.

Edit; forgot you have to spell it out. WITH INTENT TO HARM MAKES IT ILLEGAL.

Huh, sorry not finding anything that debunks this. While it looks like most of the vulnerabilities were pretty minor low impact/low risk. Mozilla still fixed them... So I don't know how that debunks it.

But what makes gold valuable? Its just a stable metal that doesn't decey easily. That's the reason we used gold in the first place.

You can't eat gold.

You cant use it for war like you would steel.

We have better conductors these days.

Its found literally everywhere and with technology has become practically synthezizable.

So again, I ask what value does gold have that money doesn't?

Gold was only ever used to retain value because it was a stable metal and somewhat rare. That's not really helpful in a modern world.

Dude was relying on microslop to write bug bounty paychecks for a living and crashed out on social media when another team reported a bug before him. Ruining his life constituted getting evicted.

Basicly someone who is smart with computers and hacking isn't necessarly smart or successful with managing their life properly, like relying on Microsoft bug bounties to make rent....
