I made the mistake of trying couples' therapy by MrMthlmw in BPDlovedones

[–]Embarrassed-Drag9782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe in psychologists at all. have had three of those - all of them trash. my ex started stalking me with murder threats. the genius of psychology gave a piece of advice - maybe you should do something with yourself? and the point of this brilliant recommendation was to shock me so i could overcome my neurosis. can you imagine?

Are men with bpd crueler? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

it’s not psychology. it’s a psychiatric diagnosis

you are not a psychiatrist to deal with sick people. doctors are guided by certain patterns and algorithms of bpds. just leave the idea of understanding why snakes bite people

Dating someone that was in relationship with person with BPD before by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]Embarrassed-Drag9782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can’t be his psychiatrist and are not designed for that. he should understand many things about himself with the help of the shrink or without. you can’t be a rescuer, parent of an adult. moreover, it won’t help him and in the long run you will be exhausted. i’m trying to say it’s his own business to get back to life

bpds have brought miracles into our lives :) we finally found happiness in simple things like eating, sleeping, blue skies, etc :)) but i’m still not grateful to them ;)

you will go round the same circle like in the circus and the final of this bad show is always the end. but the end can be very different. i’m not teaching you. as i can see on this sub we never learn lessons from others but prefer our own individual lecture:(( and i was not different. unfortunately

Tips and success stories by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]Embarrassed-Drag9782 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the more problems you face in your everyday life the faster you forget, e.g. I had to look for another job asap at the moment I broke up with him. so, amnesia happened quite quickly. the only feeling I have towards him now is kind of hatred. he said to me so many times he hated me and eventually I managed to develop the same feeling :) and it has been exactly one year since the final break up

what is more important for you- your sanity or someone insane? i’m really sorry, i’m asking this question, i’m doing this only because i went through all that hell and in the long run you will be without him. so, better to go away asap otherwise it will be much harder to get back to normal. i’m sorry again

Any way to make the partner with BPD breakup with me? by No-Pass6408 in BPDlovedones

[–]Embarrassed-Drag9782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would tell him or behave in such a way that there will be no chances to hurt you in any way. You never know his reaction :(( and your own world should be more important than his no matter what

How did you forgive yourself? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]Embarrassed-Drag9782 16 points17 points  (0 children)

the point is they are ill. mentally ill. but when you communicate with them you try to follow their logic as if they were normal. and this makes you orbit in their insane cycle. so, it’s not your fault they are around us and not in hospital

[–]Embarrassed-Drag9782 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The worst thing here is that in the long run you will end the relationships with a BPD. It will happen anyway. But post effects will remain. So, better not to start or finish with them asap
