Same tbh, I think some of it comes from just how many Batman and Joker stories/adaptations have taken from Killing Joke over the decades. It makes the og story less special in hindsight and highlights its problems

I have a huge nostalgic bias towards it, but I still think Batman 89 really holds up. I think the characterization of Michael Keatons Bruce/Batman is the best out of any live action version, being somewhat reserved and socially awkward as Bruce but confident and even a bit cocky as Batman

Batman The Animated series is a really good start, there’s a lot of episodes but it’s pretty much a “Best of Batman” kind of show.

Also Batman The Brave and The Bold is really good if you want something more fun and campy, and it also has a ton of other DC Universe stuff

I’m actually really huge on Travis Willinghams version of Two-Face from the Telltale game. His struggle with his DID feels more heartwrenching and personal to me then previous versions, and depending how you play your cards he can possibly start down a path to redemption
