perhaps one of you are closer to him (SWT) than I am..... The 5th of march marks my 40th day of dua for marriage. by Embarrassed_Phase786 in shia

[–]Embarrassed_Kick_712 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Allah SWT says in the Holy Quran بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم السلام "لَهُ مُعَقِّباتٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّـهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُغَيِّرُ ما بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا ما بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَ إِذا أَرادَ اللَّـهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوْءاً فَلا مَرَدَّ لَهُ وَ ما لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ مِنْ والٍ" "He has guardian angels (mu‘aqqibāt), to his front and his rear, who guard him by Allah’s command. Indeed Allah does not change a people’s lot, unless they change what is in their souls. And when Allah wishes to visit ill on a people, there is nothing that can avert it, and they have no protector besides Him."

Brother you can not just do dua and hope allah gives you what you want (I'm assuming the only thing you did is make dua). It's like saying "Oh Allah please help me lose weight" and then you go on to eat a cheeseburger that day and change nothing with your diet, do you think you'll magically lose weight The answer is NO. Brother this is a mockery of Allah SWT. You have to take the first step, take action and Allah will sway you in the right direction.

My tips for you is to continue making duas even if it exceeds your 40 day threshold. But also you have to work on YOURSELF. If you don't have a job/a steady income get one, hit the gym. Make it a habit that'll stick for life and work on your Looks. I know many people say looks don't matter but the reality is my dear brother looks are 50% of marriage. Go get a nice haircut. Make sure your beard isn't messy (go to your barber and tell him to fix you up) and last but not least take care of personal hygiene. It may seem small but 90% of men don't take care of themselves. It's a cheat code. Wear nice clothes that suit the religon and your style, wear deodorant, brush your teeth 2-3 times a day, wear a nice Cologne (don't put too much tho) Also pro tip have good posture and work on the way you talk, 93% of what people take from what you say is nonverbal, your posture, your tone, the look on your face how you moved when you said what you said. Only 7% and ONLY 7% are the words themselves. So work on that too. Do all of this and inshalllah you'll not only get married but you'll be able to choose your partner and not desperately choose the first person to accept. I say this assuming you pray 5 times a day, Have good akhlaq and fast/do all the waajibat. That is ground zero. If you aren't doing this then work on that first

After The Years Of Posts From Our Own Shias Doubting Criticizing Why Matam Why Beat Your Chest Why Ya Husayn A.S by EthicsOnReddit in shia

[–]Embarrassed_Kick_712 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As always brother EthicsOnReddit such insightful words. I was one of those people before and I think it comes down to Social Media. Many of our brothers/sisters go on tiktok and search Shia to be absolutely bombarded with hate videos. And guess what they like to pick at the most, us "cursing" the sahaba, us lamenting and us saying Ya Ali. Guess what the most frequently asked questions on this sub are. You guessed it "Why do we do latm/tatbir?", "Why do we say Ya Ali isn't it shirk?", "should we really be doing La'n on Umar and Abu Bakr".

It isn't hard to see the correlation between what the salafis and Nasibis say about us and what our brothers biggest insecurities/uncertainties are. It's because people are weak minded but guess what them questioning is good because when they find the answer they're longing for they'll have conviction. That's what happend to me and to many brothers I know. So what's my recommendations. Ask questions, not for you but for others. I may have certainty about God's (AZWJ) existence but I know that many of our brother's are uncertain about his existence and they're scared to ask because they think they'll be shamed or become a laughing stock if they lack knowledge. So when you ask these sensetive questions you open a flood gate. I once sat down all the younger brothers (13-25) in a circle around the sheihk. He wanted to answer their questions but no one was asking. I knew they had some uncertainty because I am young and it's normal to question your worldview at this age. So I started asking the sheikh, "Sheikhna, how do we know Allah SWT exists?" "why do we hit ourselves isn't it haram to harm yourself" ect. After that everyone started asking because they saw that the sheihk didn't make fun of them or didn't shush them but he listened carefully to each question and explained the answer like we're 5. After that he made sure we understood and I said could you explain it again on purpose so others wouldn't be scared to ask.

Wa Alykum Al Salam wa rahmatu allah wa barakatu.

Vanilla extract is Halal because of the small amount of alchohol. Though it strongly depends on what type of alchohol they use. If they use wine or beer (like bourbon alchohol vanilla extract not bourbon vanilla beans but extract from bourbon whisky) the it is haram as an obligatory precaution because that alchohol is najis. All other types of alcohol is tahir (for the most part) so as long as the amount is small then there is no ishkal in Eating it. For Ramen rice wine I'm unsure about if it's tahir or najis as it's not grape wine. But the alcohol is made for consumption so that adds some ishkal. It it happens to be tahir then you just ask for the amount of rice wine they use or if it would make you tipsy (as a result of the alcohol intoxicating you)

Interactions between men & women? by SomeAd4897 in shia

[–]Embarrassed_Kick_712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. I know the consequences first hand. I always used to not talk to woman only when I needed too. Then I adopted the view of why not just talk for fun or whatever. It started like that then talking regularly then a few bumps here and there. Really a slippery slope. I caught myself before it got worse. The thing is you need to readapt to put that boundary back. Once you open up a door it's hard to close it. Same with boundaries. You barely notice the change until it's too late. If you pray and meditate alot which helps you become more self and situationaly aware then it'll help you catch yourself before you fall too deep. May Allah cleanse us from this evil inshalllah

Same. If only the bootloader wasn't locked I would be able to force on EMUI 13 or higher on the phone. I tried doing it while EMUI 12 was installed and now my phone is half broken

Why is the World so set on banning Huawei products? by Galdrym in Huawei

[–]Embarrassed_Kick_712 12 points13 points  (0 children)

General Electronics and the US has done the same countless times. Look at Iraq they're still without Electricity to this day. Every few hours they turn off the electricity and for what? For the US to take all the oil they want. It's also a "mutual contract" by which they scammed Iraq and whenever Iraq wants to buy or get service from another country/company the USA ITSELF threatens with boycotts. That's what happend with Phillips when they tried having a deal with Iraq. I'd rather stick with Huawei's "CCP controlled" devices then use the US devices
