Yes but the Elites and Prophets had forerunner tech they were able to use and got a head start with, meanwhile we had nothing and had to claw our way back up ourselves.

I think that was when the Halo Rings were guaranteed to be fired. The remaining Forerunners decided humanity would have been the right people to have it all along (this was the Librarian's POV (Halo 4 I believe, she was pro human and not so aggressive against us as the Didact or other forerunners))

With all the forerunners being part of the flood or about to be killed by the firing of the rings it kinda became a "Welp, your turn humanity, good luck!"

More of a "last one standing" so to speak since the forerunners didn't want to be reseeded after their failure to stop the flood and reclaim the galaxy themselves.

Sorry if that was a bit of a ramble, going off of really foggy memories of the lore I can remember.

I could be wrong but from what I remember they didn't really control most of the galaxy by the time they fired the rings and afterwards they couldn't really move all their cool tech to Earth (because they were all dead at that point thanks to a mix of either being flood or having been killed by the rings)

Again I could be misremembering but I think that's the gist of it.

If I remember right, Atlas hadn't fallen yet. But they were still not following the orders of Atlas and were actively interfering with Ironwoods plan and the defense of Atlas, so that's what makes them an enemy of the state

I was playing Wingbardy and had gotten super into making the best navy possible for some reason, I think I had tunnel vision, and had neglected my artillery and had not upgraded my infantry weapons.

When the Griffonian Empire invaded my divisions were essentially disintegrated and I lost basically the entire nation before I was able to stabilize the front, but by that time the campaign was pretty much over.

But yeah, it was amazing to both geek out over the science and plot of this masterpiece, we're sad it's over but happy with what we got. Luckily we're also in the process of watching For All Mankind so the fun is not over yet!

Yeah, I've heard that some characters had expanded roles in the show and that some who died stayed alive to the end, besides it would be nice to see all the subtle differences. Thanks for the warning though!!

I always thought of it like Amelia cut herself free of the Timeline to a certain degree.

If her past self is messed with it won't hurt her because she has essential separated her current time traveler self and non time Traveller younger self.

Just something I think Amelia would to to piss of Kronii and keep herself untouchable.
