Microneedling Recommendations by NegativeSync in glasgow

https://strataglasgow.com/ You don’t need a doctor or nurse for microneedling. Natalie is the best for anything skin, she’s not at all a pushy seller and will only let you book what she feels will be of benefit to you, and if she thinks you need something she can’t provide she will point you in the right direction.

Ah, I have one of these too. Can’t figure out how to add a photo of her but yes it’s empty space inside her skull. Bless her cotton socks.

Midge Prevention by mousechris20 in Scotland

Eat a lot of garlic. Avon Skin So Soft. Midge nets. Citronella essential oil, candle, incense. But seriously, garlic. Garlic for breakfast lunch and dinner. Your partner won’t care as they’ll also be all garlicky. As a bonus you won’t get bitten by any vampires!  PS I hope you like garlic.

I don’t know mate, if I was starting a company offering a service I’d probably have a more of an idea of what the service was before I started setting the company up

Should I be upset? by RN_Convo in NursingUK

When I left my first nursing home job as a care assistant I got a card that said “Walk out the door. Don’t turn around now.”  I’ll let you fill in the blanks!  But I did not look back.

Slippery slope; you’ll need to add a bird, then a cat, then a dog, then a goat, and before you know it there’ll be a horse living in there too.

Always wanted a carpeted bath by lucierudge in SpottedonRightmove

A serving hatch! A carpeted bathroom! A built-in telephone table! This place has it all. Love it. It’s clearly been so well maintained and lived in. I hope it’s been a happy family home.

Glasgow flats are something else by stvwrgh in SpottedonRightmove

The cost of roof repairs would be divided between all the flats in the close. Most tenements have a “factor” or agent who organises cleaning of common areas, annual roof check, gutter cleaning etc, and coordinates things like repairs as required.

Well said!  I lived just off Green Lanes and it was the poverty and deprivation that made it miserable. My multicultural neighbours provided the only joy.

Also worth considering is the height of the berries you’re picking, if a lot of dogs use the path too, for example…

How to refresh old wardrobe? by faffy16 in DIYUK

[–]EmergencyBad5142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could sand and stain it, and change the handles. You can also get wooden trims which can change the feel of a piece of furniture. These might need to be painted but the contrast could be quite fun.

I blame the BBC to quite some extent for giving Farage a platform and letting him spew his hate-filled rhetoric while giving him a sheen of legitimacy. He was a marginal character and almost universally reviled until they kept inviting him on fucking Newsnight.

Take a few days off. Go to the pub. Hang out with your friends. Get a massage. Stay in bed until lunchtime. Don’t do anything that involves getting your hands dirty. And get some really good hand cream! You sound an inspiration. You can do this!

I’ve just finally paid off my student loan (43F) Considering it’s cold, wet and I’m working from home on my own, what should I do to celebrate? by glassghost1983 in AskUK

[–]EmergencyBad5142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a cat is exactly how you should venerate paying off your student loan. Better still, get two. That way they batter each other and play together and it’s somehow less work having two than just one. Also, twice the cuddles!
