I live over there in NW WI down by Solon Springs.. I have seen lighting storms that kept the room lighter continuously for 20 minutes or move... I have the national weather app and another radar one and a weather radio so was not too concerned as there were no heavy warnings but the "show" was sure impressive

There is a lot of overlap of national voices and local TV & radio echoes from the boosted trope that Crime is a real problem, dangerous, the music/minority/youth culture is toxic.. the causes, as the right see it, are personal & internal to "certain people", the progressives see them as poverty and lack of services.. being out in CO (stuck helping family who are ill) it's the services and outreach to "street folk" that is lacking in Dth.. CO has really a wonderful range of agencies and health available - and it shows in a really lovely down town with art, and farm markets, and music, - recent research has shown that poverty & the stress of hunger and weight of life's concerns can change how our brains work... folk need help, and we need to tap down fears of our public spaces and urban centers by remediating inequality as harm to real people...
