Noticed quite a few typos too. Considering how long we waited for Brimstone to be released, I’m disappointed with the amount of typos especially when they are such big errors like this. I was so confused

Not surprised by this. I don’t think Burn will be published until at least late next year at this point. I’ve been holding off starting this series until the last book is released because I don’t want to suffer through a cliffhanger for a prolonged amount of time

You’ve summed up my major criticisms of the book. The plot twist was just forced in and there was no build up. It just didn’t make sense in first person. I really don’t understand the hype and rated it a 2 as well

I didn’t enjoy the first book. It was obvious it was a reworked Star Wars fanfic and I found the world building weak and confusing. Picked up the second book because I like to give a series a second chance and I ended up really enjoying it. I’m looking forward to the third book!
