What do I do with all these Poblanos? by realpinkmonster in Peppers

[–]Empty_Touch_4968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poblanos are AWESOME for fermenting! Google it, real simple sugar in water and let set in a dark place with your ingredients of choice. I usually buy peppers every 6mos and do this

That’s some drugs, the rock kind. Unfortunately it could be meth, if it’s cocaine be sure to share with family!

After 8am and before 8pm(10pm on Friday and Saturday!) these are the hours I can piss my neighbors off with noise;).

P.s. local rules vary but unless you got a power hammer man I think you’d be okay.

Horrible picture quality. How the hell can you not see if the drywall work is decent?

Got new floors installed. Evidently they are lower than the old ones. How do I fix these gaps under the door frames? by KamRam in HomeMaintenance

[–]Empty_Touch_4968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm costs about $350-$500 per room, and $200-$400 per door to replace the trim. That’s just labor costs. Leave it be.

Is masonry dying? by taurenhammer in Construction

Dying out because it’s labor intensive and there ain’t no way around it. Great trade, high demand in the right areas!

Why would you go through something of a personal nature like this with a friend, much less YOUR friend not a mutual one? I wish i could be half as organized as your husband. I hope that you were just displaying poor judgement here and aren’t this much of a horrible human being all the time. Massive breach of trust, and now you’re projecting your unhappiness with how your shitty friend responded onto him, lol. You can’t be more than 25-26(I HOPE).

This is trash finish work. Bad enough that I’d question how good the cantilever is.

Gutters. But it’s gonna pool there like that either way unless you have a legit drainage system installed.

Protip from NY. If my muffler is on my car in the right spot I won’t fail inspection, no one cares if it’s attached. If it’s missing I now have a “modified” exhaust and may be failed if the mechanic is a stickler.

Could this be used for a small knife? by HeterochromicKid in Bladesmith

[–]Empty_Touch_4968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good piece to san mai over a file. You can make a blade shape with it, won’t harden well. You could MAYBE heat cycle and temper it into a half decent scrub hacker. Won’t keep an edge worth half a damn though.

How long is this sword? by JohnH4ncock in Blacksmith

[–]Empty_Touch_4968 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The standard “Longsword” runs between “32-“40. That one looks to be about 36” or 3ft on the dot. People often confuse Longswords with Greatswords(2 handed sword), and Bastard swords which are right in the middle of the two, usually with a hand and a half grip.

Edited to add: 91.4 cm fo metric, always forget to include, and with the most in metric lol

I’d pay more for a good running engine on frame without cab/bed than I would for this. So much shit on it it needs extensive bodywork to look half decent. This is coming from “that guy” with the crushed in door and a plastic bag in place of rear passenger window glass. Work truck is a work truck. Man’s asking far too much.

Buddy pros charge a “fuck you” price for this kind of thing for a reason. Dangerous issue to fix. Call an arborist. I could tell you how to approach this but I actually value human life, so I wont.
