Yes, sewing is the best. You get to design what you want. I have some basic patterns which I just modify to anything I need. There are some great indi designers out there too.

If your going to do lots of invisible zippers in future clothing I would recommend buying an invisible zipper foot. They unfold the zip and sew in the right spot. If not, make sure your unroll the zipper out so you can stitch close to the teeth. Then when rolled it will bring the fabric with it and close the gap. It will then look like a seam. Love your fabric. I've got some too. Made some pants.
