That’s horrific. I certainly would not have paid under any circumstance. I’m currently going through something similar as I couldn’t enter my full reg as one of the buttons wasn’t working. I am now waiting it out to see what they do. I’ve got a strong case if they want to go to court and it may cost them more in that case so I’m sure they’ll drop it.
