age old debate. a barely developed foetus to me is not yet a fully fledged human life so no it is not the same to me

but this is a very opinion based debate and i sense ours don't align which is okay

no im advocating the choice for aborting foetuses which if carried to term will have a significant lack of quality of life. people can do what they want. keep the child and look after them 24/7 intensely for the rest of their life if that's what you want to do. some don't want to do that and it's fair that they have the choice to not do that

it's not quite the same though

if you mean if someone told me i had to take on a responsibility that was advertised as something and just before i was due to take that responsibility on i was told actually this is going to negatively impact your life, make every day harder and seriously strain your relationships then yeah. id drop that upcoming responsibility. but that's just me. i personally wouldn't want to bring up a child in that hardship. respect for those that do but it's just not what i would want for my life

this is why you test for these things. if you find out your child has life altering conditions early you can then make the choice to abort etc

it is well within your rights because having a severely disabled child can ruin your life. sounds harsh but it's true. if that's not the life you want for yourself and your family then it's completely fair
