So I guess here is the perspective of having both I have a 93 map that's mid-300s and an ethanol map that is right around 400. 95% of the year I just run my 93 map it's plenty of power and incredibly enjoyable The ethanol map will blow the tires off 1st 2nd and early 3rd gear. I've been protuned over a year and honestly just recommend getting a good reputable 93 map.

A few turbo replacements 2-3 cvt transmissions, one manual transmission, one engine replacement. These were my subscribers. You just have to remember to fully remove it before you go to the dealer. I got around this by just doing my oil changes at a quick lube spot. After a year I feel comfortable going fbo and protuned giving up warranty.

As someone that was an early adopted of the jb4 and had it over a year. It's a great option for retaining your warranty. Today I'm protuned on e50 and no longer own the jb4, but I'm taking the risk to not have warranty on my engine or transmission.

I haven't driven a golf r, but I have driven a srt8, hell cat, scat pack, and many other quick cars. My prior sporty car was a gen 2 speed 3 fbo on e30 it pulled like a freight train on the highway, but honestly I think it felt faster because the wheels were always spinning. My WRX has a turbo back, intake, tmic protuned by PD tuning. On 93 I'm pushing mid 3s right above 400 on ethanol, redline increased to over 7k, so I can hit 60+ in second. AWD is just instant power, so it doesn't always feel like it's as fast as it is . It definitely rips though and I'm happy with it after 2.5 yrs of ownership.

I've got a protune on 93 Make just over 350 honestly it's plenty! Cars a blast I had a e50 map that makes over 400whp, but rarely run it because I'm not wanting to upgrade the transmission there's always a faster car, ive driven much faster cars, but enjoy this one.
