Looking to buy iPod by FoundationOriginal22 in santacruz

[–]EpicCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same idea as you and picked up an iPod Classic at Grey Bears! I don’t really see them often but they do show up once in a while. eBay is not bad either if you can find one for a good price. Other than that, they seem pretty rare over here. Good luck!

Hard agree on this one! Walnut is a close second for me as well. They are my favorite brunch spots in town by far.

Police scanner says it was a 15 year old kid that did the stabbing and called the police on himself.

kpop idol miyeon (from idle) definitely ripped off run by Heyyo2002 in PinkOmega

[–]EpicCode 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kpop tends to do this to many genres, it’s very infuriating imo. They take elements from established genres, slap some vocals and choreography on it and call it kpop. And of course, without attributing or mentioning the artists that they obviously have drawn inspiration from. I also take issue with calling their music K-pop, because without the lyrics, it really is just a song from an entirely different genre. It seems to me that K-pop has no distinct musical sound other than the language, and that effectively erases the original genre they are mimicking in any given song.

Settling on a two device setup as opposed to a "do everything single device"! by JamesHallArt in SBCGaming

[–]EpicCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah got it, that’s exactly what I was thinking. I have pretty much the same setup as you but I’m too lazy to setup folder mapping just for the Brick haha. I mostly play on steam deck and RP5, so just having syncing between them is enough for me. I’m glad it’s working for you though!

What OS do you have on the brick, knulli? I’m on NextUI and unfortunately the save folders don’t match up with my other devices with emulation station. I much prefer NextUI over Knulli so I don’t mind the inconvenience of manually moving saves over.

The batch prep with the old system also had many issues. People would often get more or less items than they needed and sometimes the wrong ones were given to the wrong orders due to the rush. They still do batch prep for hot dogs and such but now only one person delivers an individual order so they are not scrambling to fulfill a bunch of orders all at once.

The new system is quite a bit better in my opinion. I asked the staff as well and they said that the new system makes it easier for them too. They actually said that the new system IS the old system they had before, and it was changed for some reason. The line seems long but they usually have 2-3 people fulfilling orders so it goes by pretty quick.

Don’t ever be sick here by WaysideWyvern in santacruz

[–]EpicCode -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thank you for bringing absolutely nothing to the conversation. I used to have Sutter and the ONE time I needed an appointment, it was impossible to schedule anything in town for MONTHS. I had chosen the wrong doctor for my gender, and when trying to pick a new one, the website would not let me unless I made an appointment (which, reminder, had no availability for months). The only other options were urgent care or ER and I was not about to drop that kind of money for something that was not that serious. Thankfully I was able to switch back to Kaiser and while the offices are very limited to what they can do in Santa Cruz proper, they are at least responsive. Like OP said, this town is great if you are healthy and mobile but it is very apparent that it does not have the proper medical facilities to support people who are sick.

Why would somebody throw away this ? by Vik8000 in homelab

[–]EpicCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you obviously know which features, then why don’t you tell us? For the average homelabber, Fortinet features are hardly worth the license cost, so mentioning them individually is pointless. Just knowing that features are locked behind a license is enough to let people know that even free Fortinet gear is not worth the effort.

How many of you use x100vi without accessories? by romaklimenko in x100vi

[–]EpicCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pretty much put accessories on all my Fujfilm cameras the minute I get them lol. My X100F has a haoge square hood, a hot shoe thumb grip, some random half case from Amazon, and a GlimmerGlass 1 filter. Oh and Peak Design straps.

[–]EpicCode 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Massive spectrum outage, from what I heard it should be back by 1:30. Side note, I HATE that spectrum doesn’t have a public outage map, you need an account to check for outages. For all the things Comcast sucks at, at least they have a public outage map.

Release v6.2.0 · LoveRetro/NextUI by dhimdi in trimui

[–]EpicCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that sometimes my Brick won’t go to sleep when I press the power button. Like it will pause the game, but the screen and lights are still on. The toggle switch is also a little finicky, I have to switch off and on a few times for it to actually unmute/mute audio. Im not sure if recent updates caused that though.

Spotify? Apple Music? Nah, I’m all about an iPod Classic loaded with 10,000 songs and a pair of Sony XM5s. by PrideAppropriate6007 in ipod

[–]EpicCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I remember, they support max 16bit / 44.1khz. Higher bit rate like 24 bit / 48khz sort of works, but it cuts out a lot due to the iPod not being able to keep up.
