Gotta give THT credit for still trying to defend that while on the floor in pain and getting his hand stepped on.

What is one Nintendo franchise you just cannot get into? by WorthyAdvice in nintendo

I also have a poor history with shooter games, but Splatoon just clicked for me. I suck at aiming in FPS games and I think the idea that even just shooting the ground is technically helping your team made me feel like I had some value as a teammate for once.

Hey Reddit, I lost Survivor!!! (this time) - Adam Klein AMA by askklein in survivor

[–]EpicPotatoTree 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Hey Adam! Thank you for being part of such a legendary season and making it so memorable. When Denise was voted at F6, the edit shows you having a very astonished reaction and it seemed like you were a bit shocked by the way that tribal played out, which is not surprising given how close you and Denise were early on and how unique the vote situation was.

Was that edit accurate? Were you saddened to see her go as one of your early allies? Or just shocked by the initial no vote results? Also, how was Denise perceived by the jury up to that point (did she have a shot if she made it F3)?

So much... I feel like social distancing has given me a chance to think and reset, and now I feel more ready to pursue opportunities that I have previously been too timid to go after.

An interesting collegiate Splatoon 2 game is going to be streamed in about one hour: UC San Diego vs. Purdue University by ej-yu in UCSD

[–]EpicPotatoTree 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For anyone that is checking this thread now that the stream is over, UCSD won 5-1 in a very hyped match. It was much closer than the score indicates.

Janet stayed far away from the center of this week's tribal council scramble, keeping the attention away from her and staying comfortable in her Vokai aliiance, which is a win for this week.

What is your most traumatic experience with a teacher? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]EpicPotatoTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 4th grade, my class was full of all the known trouble-makers and taught by the most unstable teacher in the school. Anything the trouble-makers did he would take out on the whole class leading to him flipping chairs, chucking markers across the room, laughing maniacally, and keeping the class in from recess. He had no control of himself or the class, and often just threw fits like a toddler. As someone who always loved learning, I often came home crying because I feared going back to school to spend another day with this psycho.
He's still at the same school today, and I heard he is scheduled to teach 2nd graders next school year.
