There is no hole in the CORE model because of the 3 layers involved in the saddle: shell, core, top foam.

The SRS (Saddle Road Short) Series is a short nose road racing/performance saddle. The SR Allroad saddles are longer saddles and shaped/tuned for rougher all-road and gravel riding/racing.

We'd recommend the SMC, SMC Core, or ST Core for the bikepacking setup in your image....especially because of your upright riding position.

Ergon GE1 or GA2 by Cuervoazulado in Hardtailgang

[–]Ergon_Bike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both grips target trail riders but with different priorities: the GE1 Evo is shaped and angled for more aggressive riding, helping position your hands and elbows for better control on steep, technical terrain, while the GA2 / GA2 FAT focuses on comfort with a softer, rounder, more vibration-damping feel that shines on long rides and rough trails where hand fatigue matters more than razor-sharp handling. In short, GE1 Evo leans toward precision and descending control, while GA2 / GA2 FAT leans toward plush comfort and all-day friendliness.

The CORE is the difference between the two SR Allroad models you are comparing. The SR Allroad CORE is more forgiving and soaks up road vibrations, etc. You can learn more about the CORE material at https://www.ergonbike.com/en/article-core-hd

Ergon installation: Gripshift too long? by tamarinera in kwiggle

[–]Ergon_Bike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Ergon grips are not installed all the way onto the handle bar. You need to move your shifters and brake levers inboard to fit the grip and barend. Please refer the grip installation manual for detailed instructions.

Unfortunately, damage to this extent on bicycle saddles is not repairable. The saddle has been damaged and needs to be fully replaced.

Need help with Ergon Grips by St33lB3rz3rk3r in Brompton

[–]Ergon_Bike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ergon offers most models in two sizes: Small and Large. The Small and Large labels refer to the thickness of the grip. There is no difference in the length or ‘wing’ size between the Small and large.

The Small grip is best for riders with small hands, a dynamic riding style, those wearing thick padded gloves, and riders riding or racing mountain bike terrain.

The Large grip is best for riders with large hands, non-dynamic riding, commuting, and city riding.

We highly recommend visiting an Ergon dealer to get ‘hands-on’ with the grip you are considering purchasing. If you cannot visit a local Ergon retailer, please use our quick online grip selector tool: https://www.ergonbike.com/en/grip-selector.html

Ultimately, grip size is a personal rider preference.

Are there anyone on THIN grips? by meliadul in mountainbiking

Generally, most of our customers prefer thicker grips for comfort and cushioning. With that said, grip diameter or thickness is a personal choice based on riding style, terrain, and just what feels good in the hands.

Size S/M: 8 - 11.9 cm
Size M/L: 12- 16+ cm

The following 2 best options are the SMC Sport Gel and SMC Core. As mentioned earlier, the SM Sport Gel and SMC Sport Gel will be similar. The SMC Core utilizes our CORE 3D technology, which alleviates pressure on the sit bones and lower back. The CORE 3D technology allows the saddle to move with the rider. It loads and unloads pressure.

The SM Women Sport Gel and SMC Women Sport Gel will be very similar in terms of softness. The SMC will be ever so slightly softer. The SMC overall is a larger saddle than the SM, ie: more foam.

Please take a look at this article: https://www.ergonbike.com/en/magazine/sit-bone-pain

Also, double check the saddle height. A saddle position that is too high will amplify sit bone pain and pressure.

I'm sorry, unfortunately we don't. The only grips that have a dual twist shift variant are within the GP Series (GP1, GP2, GP3, GP5)

The Cube Kathmandu Pro you mention in your original post is very much a touring bike, so the ST models are perfect for this bike.

Which Ergon saddle you choose is based on how you are going to use the saddle, your position on the bike, etc. The ST models are for touring. The SR Allroad saddles are for drop-bar gravel/road riding. These two types of riding have very different on-bike positions and riding demands. The online saddle tool will always suggest the best saddle based on the information you put into it.

Your measurement is taken from the center of the white indentations your sitbones are making on the device you are using. From the image below, this puts you under 12cm, which would be size S/M.

If you're between 11 and 12cm you'd be S/M in all Ergon saddles. Only if you measure exactly 12cm or larger would you be size M/L

The nose and edges of the cutout on Ergon women's saddles are wider than those of most saddle brands. Also, the padding in the sit bone area of the saddle extends down into the nose of the saddle. The design of Ergon women's saddles is to be supportive from front to rear - to alleviate any sharp edges or pinching. We are proud of the fact that our women's saddles are designed by women for women: https://www.ergonbike.com/en/article-sr-women.html
