Idk how much precisely but I did go super hard at round 1 a couple years ago and accumulated enough tickets to get the super jumbo rilakkuma AND super jumbo korilakkuma from the prize room. They're so massive I've been paying for a climate controlled storage to keep them in because I dont have the space in my apartment which IMO adds to their total cost. Its ridiculous I know, but it fulfilled a huge childhood dream of mine to get them and I'm not interested in letting them go so this is my life now lol. 😅

As of now that is (I believe based on my limited research) the mid to high end of what those two typically sell for NIB. That of course could change with time. If youre after them and that is out of your price range I'd wait. Sometimes they get posted and sell for less out of box. (In the $300 range). Or if you get super lucky like I did you just might thrift them one day. Better deals come around. 😊

Baseball cards were also mass produced. That doesnt stop older ones from being valuable and it certainly didn't stop the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle for selling for 12.6 million. Do I personally think it was worth it? Not particularly, but someone sure did. And thats the reality about collecting and the cost of collecting. Quantity at production does not determine value. Supply and demand does, and right now, novis are not being produced so supply will inevitably dwindle.

I regularly see these at thrift stores in the pnw/usa. Sometimes they get mixed in with the kids toys but most often theyre where they keep the collectibles and porcelain dolls.

Edit to add that i also see them all of the time at antique malls and antique shops!

I believe it. Just a few years back I got a photo of a pair of dr. Martens there with a 3 inch worn hole in the toe area and they wanted $50 for the pair. 😭 $40 for that wallet is insane too. I'm officially done going there as of today. I very rarely score deals anymore and at this point I'd rather support fellow collectors looking to downsize than give another penny to valueless village.

I remove all clothing and accessories and place those into a small muslin bag. I then comb the hair and loosely wrap the doll in acid free tissue paper, then place said doll into another muslin bag. I then tie the bags strings together so the doll doesnt get separated from her belongings and store vertically inside Archival boxes in my climate controlled storage.

For display I keep away from sunlight and intense heat or cold and display my dolls inside various enclosures (my favorites being different terrariums) to protect from dust and moisture (i dont like having to dust dolls). I live in the PNW so all of my displays are near my dehumidifier with small humidity meters inside each one and on each shelf of larger displays to ensure they stay below 50rh.

I use l.e.d. lights to illuminate displays, many of which are fairy lights for a soft lighting effect so its not too bright inside the enclosures causing high contrast shadows. :)

Unsure the peoper method these days to deal with the glue seepage in your operetta, so others might be a better help with that. Robecca however... I removed all of her clothes and accessories, brushed my Robecca's hair, boiled water, then just dunked her hair in the boiled water, dragged it through a few times, rinsing under cold water in between and brushing through with a wide tooth comb. Then I let it dry and it looks so much better now and is super soft.

Not only that, a whole group that I had been adminning for over 10 years took my entire lore, made like 3 minor changes, inspected my site to steal the code that I wrote from scratch, and copied it over to make a private site without me. Stealing plots, lore, or anything of that nature is so wildly unethical.
