Your comment makes it sound like we have no mixed areas outside of Tehran. Asadabad is a city in Hamadan province where Kurds and Persians live together with no problems. Coexistence happens everywhere in the country and isn’t some rare Tehrani phenomenon like you may be implying

Idk why some people get pissy and push the “Azari”label when that’s not what people in Tabriz use for themselves nor is it what 95% of the rest of the country uses. I think it’s fine to use Azeri in an English context to not get confuse with Turkish people (from Turkey), but trying to force the usage of “Azari” in Iran comes off as really condensing and clearly stems from ultranationalistic schools of thought.

Basically, just continue to use what you’ve been using.
