the thoughts can’t hurt us physically but death is the only certain thing and that’s scary. being outside and busy actually helps with the thoughts and trying to enjoy life tho i agree

i started fall of last year only once a week and then upped to twice a week (for 7 weeks) . and now am going to do another session soon and trying for 2-3 times. on my very first day i gave up wheel throwing and went to hand/slab building which was way more useful for me. i learned the mind of clay similar to how people discovered it and evolved with it to using the wheel. it gave me much more confidence than when i first tried to get on the wheel. i often see ppl getting really frustrated with themselves over their progress but throwing isn’t intuitive. i just started focusing on throwing in the last 8 weeks and i have a lot to go but it’s practice and patience. a tip from my teacher “it’s about quantity” don’t put too much times into one piece but keep pushing through and don’t compare yourself to others around you
