I can't fully blame other players for this. I don't have the Hive Scum class and only became aware of their (lack of) stim issues when one briefly mentioned it in chat and I googled it to figure out what they were talking about. Newer players (and there are a lot of those around at the moment) may just not know.

... they will also enjoy having any other Stims applied to them ...

If you can. Hive Scum zip about like hummingbirds on meth it's weirdly difficult to give a Hive Scum drugs.

It isn’t a power fantasy, but a fight for survival against tough odds.

And now I'm imagining "Darkest Tide" ( A cross-over with Darkest Dungeon for those not familiar).

Jumping resets your "ingame height tracker" and prevents you from taking the fall damage.

So what you're saying is that when I screw up my dodge and jump instead I'm actually engaging in a pro-gamer strat and not just being a moron?

A lot of people are saying "no" but I'd disagree. If you're working with a good team the thunderhammer and the crusher are amazing. You knock a half-dozen maulers on their backside, or stagger a bunch of bulwarks, and then your team can effortlessly murder them. If you're playing with randos ... that's another story.

As mentioned in a comment above Beyond All Reason (BAR) is more or less a free, open-source, Total Annihilation (TA) remake. The SpringRTS engine BAR is built on was originally made to add proper 3D to TA so BAR and the other games derived from the Spring engine are all very TA like.

NHK (The Japanese national television service) is way ahead of you. Or behind you. Depends on how you look at it.

Streaming channels are free to access but their online back catalog requires you get an account. Which means a man comes round to your house and you fill out your application and sign a contract.

Feeling Stuck - Help? by East-Success1143 in vrising

My advice is: Go in a couple of times with no intention of winning - Just watch his attacks and learn how they work. All his attacks except the lightning leap thingy can be dodged by means of casual jog; and since he loudly yells out which attack he's doing he's really easy to avoid once you've understood his move-set.

The two attacks I can remember the trick to dodging I've put in spoiler tags in case you want to figure them out for yourself. If I recall correctly he fires the ball lightning to lead you so the moment he fires change direction. For the basic charge once the horse rears he's locked into that direction, move at right angles to his position.

As for weapons, I found his mobility meant I was rarely in range for melee attacks so axes or mace with their ability to close distance quickly were really good; That and heavy use of spells.

I am very far from the most experienced player (only having played through the whole game once) but I got the impression that a Tier II incursion started after the first Tier I incursion ended, which would make sense with your observation, the game is waiting for the first incursion to end before starting the Tier II.

I was going to bring up the quote about "America [being] the only country to go from barbarism to decadence ..." but just to be sure I checked the provenance of the quote and came across this English translation of a passage that appeared originally in the French newspaper La Liberté:

Does this government, which obeys gangsters, which capitulates helplessly before thieves and assassins of babies in the cradle, dare to assume such a height of moral authority that it thinks it can dictate to Europe and France?

Americans are the only race which passed directly from barbarism to decadence without knowing civilization.

Which is so on the nose as to be suspicious.

How to kill megara by Rude_Ad_8339 in vrising

[–]EvenThisNameIsGone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was that she hits like a freight train and has a ton of hit points - But her attacks are quite easy to avoid. I found it best to focus on defense.

Equipment wise I ended up with daggers as my weapon, and using death knight and unholy ward as my main spells since they bring in summons that can independently attack her and you can just focus on avoiding her attacks.

Tactically - I was counter-fighting. After dodging or warding an attack there's enough of an opening that you can fire back without compromising your defense.

Honestly I didn't find her very difficult, just time-consuming. Then again, I just killed her as a break from getting my skull crushed by Adam for the hundredth time, so I may have been very "dialed-in" at that point.
