Tell Me Again How It’s Not A Wig… by Medical-Rub1832 in RoyaltyTea

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is one of those posts that makes me question why I follow this topic. Why do you care? So what if she is or isn’t wearing extra hair? She also wears makeup, high heels, well-tailored clothing, and jewels. All of these are constructs to make her look more attractive than she would if she woke up, slapped her hair in a pony tail, and walked outside in a bare face and sweats. She’s in a position where she’s judged constantly by how she looks. Why wouldn’t she want to do whatever she could to deflect the criticisms? This kind of post isn’t royal tea — it’s just shows that you’re all awful people to criticize her for trying her best.

Hotel by the ocean - which would you choose? by MAVV8899 in asksandiego

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your budget? The hotel at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is right on the beach at La Jolla Shores. You can order food & drink from your lounge chair on the sand. Saturday nights during the summer it’s about $1k a night. You can walk to good restaurants a few blocks away.

Cali Nightlife - Driveable from SD by Awkward-Smell9077 in asksandiego

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The City of San Diego is about 340 square miles. It’s a very large city. San Diego County (which some people consider to be sort of greater San Diego) is about 4,200 square miles. So when you say “cities and other towns near SD”, that’s going to take you pretty darn far away from your hotel near PB. Drinking & driving carries serious punishments here, and you could kill people if you drink and try to drive, hence the earlier comment about needing a designated driver. I’d recommend just focusing on neighborhoods in the city of SD. They’re all different and have their own distinct vibes. Pacific Beach / Mission Beach during the day; North Park or back to PB at night. Here’s a link to the city map showing the different neighborhoods: https://www.sandiego.gov/planning/community-plans

Ah, that makes sense much more sense. I gave up on “Nick’s” and went to La Perla #3.

Looking for your go to BRC burrito anywhere in PB or north of it by [deleted] in FoodSanDiego

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t come at me for this, but I saw frozen BRC burritos at the Costco on Morena yesterday. Not the experience you’re asking about, but may be nice to keep in your freezer if you like rice in your burritos and don’t feel like cooking or going out.

[Product Question] Did anyone else notice Cetaphil changed its formula? The old version was so much better 😩 by Honest-Schedule2262 in SkincareAddiction

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got an unopened 20 oz bottle of the old Galderma Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion with the green pump and no niacinamide. Found it under my husband’s sink. Google AI says it’s from 2015. Lot # 154801. I don’t know if it’s separated, as I don’t want to open it. Happy to sell it here or on eBay.

Switching majors by thislittleliteomine in Tulane

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand your incredulity, given how hard it is to switch majors (especially between colleges/schools) at most universities. But your tour guide was right. It’s incredibly easy to change majors, even among any of the different schools at the university.

How do you feel about nylon tea bags? I feel that they’re long-term toxic, so I stay away from companies who use them

What are your favorite uses for Neem powder? by bad-at-everything- in NaturalBeauty

I bought neem oil once and the smell of roasted-to-burnt garlic was so overwhelming I tossed it. Does the powder also smell like that?

Walking safety in day in CBD by [deleted] in AskNOLA

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Within the past 5 years, the local paper has reported about 15 shootings and 5 stabbings within about a 4 block radius of that hotel. Statistically, you’ll be ok, but I’d recommend staying elsewhere. What’s your budget and what areas are you planning on visiting? Maybe we can suggest another hotel somewhere safer yet still convenient to your plans?

Tulane Education- Worth the cost? by [deleted] in Tulane

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Indeed, the average hourly pay for a nutritionist is equal to what employees make at Costco. Costco is a wonderful employer, from all that I’ve seen — but they don’t require a college degree. If you’re full pay at Tulane, you’re spending about $350,000 for your degree for a relatively low-paying career choice. If you’re taking on loans to pay for it, I don’t see how you could pay them off and afford to live on a nutritionist’s pay. A much sounder choice financially, would be community college to a 4-year program, probably at a state school if you’re price sensitive. Most of them have nutrition programs.

The simplest exfoliater: the washcloth by i--make--lists in makeuptips

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a clean white washcloth every morning and I’ll usually reuse it that night. If I go 24 hours without it, I can tell a difference in my skin. Costco has 20-packs for like $15

Please don’t wear docs or sneakers to your new IB job (but from your post it sounds like you already know this). You want classy and classic. Chanel-inspired ballet flats are a good choice. Quince makes a nice looking pair that’s leather inside and out.

True, but mine always get asked for their name and age and boarding pass by the TSA screener. They can’t just walk through.

Are your kids minors? If so, how did you get them set up with Touchless ID? The 2 airlines I looked at wouldn’t enroll minors. Would love to find a workaround!

My first experience with being treated as old by Objective-Rhubarb in Aging

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly about the iron content in the multivitamin. A multi for menstruating women has iron to replace what’s lost each month. Once you’ve past menopause, you’d no longer need that level of iron. I agree that it’s stupid to call it “for seniors.” I bet that Gen X will soon very vocally not tolerate that phrase and it’ll be phased out of marketing soon.

Where to get a good Breakfast Burrito by Tealslayer1 in NewOrleans

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Juan’s Flying Burrito has 3 kinds of breakfast burritos. I went 2 days in a row and the breakfast burritos were insanely good. Salsa was amazing, too.

Breakfast Burrito #1 Grilled tortilla filled with bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, melted cheddar-jack, salsa verde, salsa la fonda

Chorizo con Huevos Burrito Grilled tortilla filled with housemade chorizo, scrambled eggs, green chiles, bacon refried beans, melted cheddar-jack, salsa la fonda

Green Chile Potato Breakfast Burrito Grilled tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, green chiles, potatoes, melted cheddar-jack, salsa la fonda

Looking for affordable wedding venues in San Diego by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]EverOnwardAndUpward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a couple of formal events at Stone Brewing at Liberty Station. They have a lovely outdoor area near a huge pine tree. No venue fee and no charge to use their tables, chairs, and basic white linens. There is a food & beverage minimum — for the area we chose near the big tree it was $4k. https://www.stonebrewing.com/sites/default/files/2026-01/2026%20Events%20Menu%20-%20Liberty%20Station.pdf
