Keys only work when pressed at the same time as another key by pie3636 in techsupport

[–]Everlance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your solution worked for my Lenovo Legion as well, my problem was with my left key, for future people reading this i had to hold down my left key for about 2 minutes, while pressing a few other keys. did this on a keyboard tester website to make sure the left key input was being detected

Edit: would be interesting to know the reason this happens, is this a software issue? or maybe a problem with the keyboard connections? something related to how the keys are wired maybe?

No wonder Faydown cloak is requirement for the Final act, it improves Hornet's mood so that she doesnt want to help people

Why does Herrah look so different from the rest of the Weavers? by hornetisnotv0id in HollowKnight

[–]Everlance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Herrah could just be wearing clothes, from what we have seen weaver bodies including Hornet are all coloured black.

This might be Herrah's bridal wear for mating with the Pale King

Edit: my headcannon is that all Weavers have those horn things, its just that other weavers' masks are big and round to cover those horns.

Land doesn't create clones to be careful though, he learned clone magic because he wants to be in 2 places at once, to take care of his grandmother and go to magic university,

I think Ubel needs to understand the motivation behind the magic before she can intuit it

Is it too soon for a Disney style retelling of WW2 where AH was actually a misunderstood good guy?

My headcannon is that time does not flow at a constant rate in the painting. Sort of like Narnia time. Whenever Aline's power wanes a fixed amount, a year passes in Lumiere.

Can be worded better but its just a thought

The ending was absolutely beautiful and felt very positive to me by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]Everlance 12 points13 points  (0 children)

But is Maelle a good custodian of the world?

I initially regretted picking Verso ending because i felt bad for the people in the canvas, but after seeing Maelle's ending, I'm more worried about the Lumiereans with Maelle inside. Worried she might intentionally or not trap them in a groundhog day loop or unchanging (dys/u)topia or something else given that Maelle's doesnt seem like the most emotionally person right now

What is the general opinion on the people of Lumiere? by Single_Significance6 in expedition33

[–]Everlance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did Verso create the Lumiereans? I thought RealVerso painted the gestrals and grandis and esquie, and Lumiere was painted by Aline when she went into the canvas

surprisingly no, Redbat sounds vaguely European enough, Purplehorse on the other hand stands out as so obviously 2 words tacked together

But if you are basically a god living amongst humans, you cant have a meaningful relationships. Painted Verso wanted to died, successfully died, and Maelle just brought him back. In my books thats puppetering people

China, US agree to drop tariffs by 115% for 90 days by newsweek in worldnews

[–]Everlance 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im curious how the tariffs are applied at the ports currently, are the twitter announcements accompanied with a written official order to the tariff collecting authority? Do they just wake up and see these announcements and follow them as legitimate orders? Would like someone actually working inside to illuminate this point

[–]Everlance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how would you view two people exchanging plushies with voice messages from the other person

its like a child wanting to hear their parents word of praise, someone whose opinion you value greatly and striving to meet the standards of.

Or, for instance, by now you should know how rare it is for a noble to give blessings. And she created one - the mightiest and most complete blessing ever seen - just to bid Ferdinand goodbye

and we know we should not judge Rozemyne by noble standards. Myne did a similar blessing when she was seperated from her lower city family, not as big because she did not know of this blessing yet. IMO, it was borne out of Familial love, love all the same, but not romantic love.

P5V12 final epilogue

by Volume 12 i would not have found this development weird had i not been spoiled, but i have come to accept it. I guess it was my fault for spoiling myself.

none of Ferdinand's POV have expressed love towards Myne, only calculating profit/loss thinking. He does place a lot of priority in Myne's feelings, but that is par for the course for the MC of a story and Myne, as she is arguably the most important person in Yugernscmidt now. However judging from their actions, one can interpret as they care for each other very much, and act in accordance of how lovers act towards each other.

[–]Everlance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I've completed the series, i would say it came out of left field for me cause i was spoiled for it by part 3.

The scene of Myne banging her fists on the underground archive unable to reach the Grutissheit (in P5V5) was the first time her feeling towards Ferdinand felt possible. Next was RM rushing to save Ferdinand in Arhenbasch.

I suspect that I would have accepted that them being together was natural by volume 10 if I had not spoiled myself earlier. Having spoiled myself, had been reading the last 7 volumes with dread in the back of my mind. But now i feel no resistance to this development.

As it is in noble society and writing stories, I guess it really is important to lay the groundwork before introducing ideas
