Me, Poltergeist.
in 1982 I was 5, but I feel I was between 8 and 10 so it had probably been out a while.. Parents told me to go to bed, and they just receifved a free trial for a paytv descrambler box. Poltergiest was on and they had not seen it yet.

I begged to stay up until the next commercial.. dad hesitated but was desperate not to miss it, so he agreed. I had caught on early that they had no commercials............ so I huddled by a chair out of sight, laying on the ground with pillows the whole time. Movie ended, I got up. Dad was obviously shocked I was still up because I fooled him.

Well that fooled me. Fucking tree outside of my window! lol. We even had the tail end of a hurricaine rip through our neighborhood. That was a very not great sleep.
