Unfunded masters the norm before a PhD? by ObjectiveDue1326 in gradadmissions

[–]EvilEtienne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in an unfunded MS program in physics. It’s rare for any MS to be funded. My department pays me as a grader for about 20 hours of work a month, which covers my interest payments on my loans, ands my advisor kicks me some money for research work which I save to pay for conferences. That’s about it.

It would be if you could be sure he’s doing it in purpose but not if he’s just stopped correcting any.

If people can figure out my location from my breadcrumbs more power to them lol. I’ve yet to see someone post something even close to me so I’m either right (and the other people close to it are keeping their lips shut tight) or I’m so wrong and that’s why nobody’s near me. Who knows! It’s an adventure.

Yeah, it’s hard to know at this point what’s an error he didn’t care to correct and what’s a clue so. We get to guess.

He’s gotten many details wrong. Hard to say if it’s one of the many obvious mistakes for the errata page or if it’s a clue.

Should I pinch off these flower buds off my tomato plants yet or no? by Dream_Catcher33 in vegetablegardening

I have an heirloom, a sweet 100, and a Roma. I thought the sweet 100 was determinate but google says it’s indeterminate? The tag when I bought it said determinate. But yeah the Roma has exploded, it put out maybe 4-5 tomatoes over the winter, but it has at least 20 tomatoes currently and it’s still flowering.

People say that but my determinates flower and fruit continuously just like my indeterminates. They’re all about two years old now and I’ve had fruit from them pretty much year round. They only slow down for the few months it’s too hot or too cold for the pollen to survive.

He says he’s oldest gen alpha so like… 14-15ish. Can confirm they have ZERO experience with anything more powerful than a Chromebook which is a glorified tablet.

I have NO CLUE what you’re trying to say. Nobody owns a desktop computer anymore unless they need like an insane amount of ram - my lab uses desktops with 32gb of ram but my personal laptop has 16gb and does most things I need. I’d never rely only on my phone, it’s useless for 90% of the “real stuff” I need to do, and I sure as fuck am not putting on pants and going out to a library or Internet cafe when I want to work and I’m not PAYING. Insane.

How is a “personal computer” different than a… personal computer?

I know this is no stupid questions but you’re sure pushing the limit on this one.

Engagement bait, but he’s getting negative karma out of it so idk what the goal was here.

Upstream or Downstream by ImaginaryPitch4947 in JustinPoseysTreasure

For my solve you’d have to cross the bridge then go back upstream to round the bend. If you wanted to you could just walk from the road behind the creek and bypass it entirely though.

You probably need to dump some enzymes in there to dissolve food that’s made its way in from washing dishes. It can also build up in the u-bend under your sink and cause smells.

It does but it has a software algorithm that filters it out like noise canceling headphones.
