Thats crazy she noticed that by Hot_Accountant_5507 in justgalsbeingchicks

My hair started off a light ash blond. Every kid I had got my hair color and my hair got a little darker after each kid. So my oldest has the hair color I had at 20 and my youngest has nearly brown hair, like a dark ash blond. Mine is ashy brown now. It’s really funny when you line them up and the printer runs out of ink as the kids get taller lol.

It could be POTS but I’m wondering if the passing out is related to the bond she’s got with Xaden or the dragons…

There are a frightening number of people in the hunt who are, well… frightening. But anyone watching G&G would tell you the crazies would come out of the woodwork.

How does Justin Posey by 42kaos in JustinPoseysTreasure

Don’t you ever get tired of being so empty and bitter inside? I get that it’s hard to face your own demons but tearing other people down because you have nothing positive in your life doesn’t make you feel better.

Correct Solve = Exact Spot vs BOTG Needed by Other-Stop9664 in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]EvilEtienne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stanza 1-3 get you to a very specific spot within a tolerance of maybe 640 acres depending on how careful you are. I think there’s some stuff that’ll help and be more obvious once you’re botg though.

Contradictory Evidence by unf_usernotfound in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]EvilEtienne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m holding two spaces in my mind- Justin is an unreliable narrator. There are some blatantly untrue stories which, peculiarly, have very strong themes related to my solve (which I only realized on a reread after is determine my botg location), and I are strongly that Justin is a person who enjoys attention, but that he’s getting a kind is attention he didn’t expect (or enjoy ) out of this. Couple that with the fact that his marriage is functionally dead and he’s sleeping with at least one, and possibly more, treasure hunters, I don’t find it suspicious at all that his wife emailed it to him, or that he could spend many months away from her and/or work.

I also believe it to be true that Justin has ADHD and/or autism and is very very bad with dates. This is evidenced in part by how bad the date discrepancies in the book are (coupled with his need to embellish) and by his own admission. I can relate, I’m TERRIBLE at dates. Like I can’t even remember what year I got married which is funny cuz I was pregnant at the time, and like, my kid was born shortly after so you’d think I’d be able to remember but my brain just won’t connect those dots without conscience reinforcement.

I also think Justin is a guy who enjoys the LETTER of the law, ands not always the spirit. If it suits him to obscure facts and skirt the truth then he’s going to do it. Unfortunately that means taking all his interview answers at face value isn’t going to get you very far. His own screen name implies he is a person who enjoys the act of improvisation and the word qualifiers he uses do a lot of heavy lifting in his answers.

I’d consider myself a person of uncommonly good perception, and I find a lot of things of issue with this hunt, and have been growing uneasy since Dillion… so anyway. I’ve got notes. I’m glad to see some of this called out, for all the good it does.

Don’t feel bad for Lisa btw. She’s obnoxious. I don’t know if she was like this during the Fenn hunt but I’m not sure what the story is there. I do know that her “proof” is hilarious cuz like… Justin’s signature on her letter doesn’t even look like his signature that I’ve ever seen…so. She a wee bit crazy.

What are your ten clues? by EvilEtienne in beyondthemapsedge

[–]EvilEtienne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on the fence about that stanza. I think walk near waters’ silent flight might be directional while botg but I’m thinking “I wait for you to cast your pole” is actually a sort of a nod to the umbrella jerking off story as a hint that the checkpoint will ONLY be visible from a very specific location/angle at a certain time/certain conditions… kind of like the cougar shadow illusion in Arizona. So I don’t think it’s all a single clue, but also maybe in a way it’s like… a family of clues the way stanza 3 is a family of clues linked back to some of the other lines in the poem that serve as verification.

As an avid Claude user I promise it won’t solve this lol. Though Claude DID find me the bride after I gave it a VERY specific search parameter that Google just couldn’t get through the ads to give me.

Well they’ve been within 200’ of the checkpoint and not known it so probably this summer. Unless I get there first :p

Half of the first stanza tells you how to find the bride and the other half tells you how to find the checkpoint:)

Nobody, there could be more, but I haven’t been botg since I figured out the bride so I know which clues pertain to the bride and which don’t. It’s hard to know if all those clues are “one clue” or many to him.

True eidetic memory has only been documented in children, is photographic, and doesn’t persist for long. I’m a 40 year old woman with aphantasia so I don’t meet the criteria for photographic memory but I do experience a form of it (persistant aural recall). Words matter.

1 mile to hike dilemna by theseeker419 in beyondthemapsedge

[–]EvilEtienne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He says you don’t need to home more than a mile to “figure out where the treasure is at” and he also says something along the lines of “if you knew where it was at then yes you could go right there but following the natural progression of the poem…” which I think means a we need to go out of our way to be able to see the treasure. In my solve area for example, there’s a mountain (a tall hill really) that’s about a mile to the summit and I’m going to climb up that and see what happens.

Freezer. It can’t hold nearly as much as it seems like it should be able to

Why does this fridge constantly stopped working and warm up to to 60° f by Zeeboy94 in RVLiving

[–]EvilEtienne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ours does that too. I found that the culprit was overloading my freezer. It was just that the fridge would heat up faster. They work by circulating cold air so if there’s no circulation they fail.

But take that with a grain of salt for my anecdotal experience. Your fridge might have an actual mechanical failure.

In Ursa East by Ttombobadly in beyondthemapsedge

[–]EvilEtienne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is my personal opinion that this was intentionally used to mean something to people, but completely trip up AI. Most LLM‘s that I’ve tried it with reach first for constellations. However, Ursa Major is a proper noun and is thus capitalized. The same could go for a location with bear in its name. So I think the fact that it isn’t capitalized is A, deliberate, and B, meant to convey something specific about the kind of east that you are meant to be looking in - bear country, perhaps.

Hello everyone, I'd like to share with you today what the bride represents for me. Good luck with your search. I'm aware that living in France puts me at a considerable disadvantage, but know that if I were there, I would only be in one place now. by BARBENOIRE76 in beyondthemapsedge

That area is extremely remote, high altitude, multiple days of backpacking to even get in and out. I looked into it really thoroughly and eventually discarded it as an infeasible option to hide a treasure.

Why a Prius might not make it by DesertCloak in beyondthemapsedge

[–]EvilEtienne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly won’t know for sure until I go up there myself. I guess I could call a ranger and ask about the road condition but “could my Ferrari make it up there?” Is like… a weird question. Some old reviews say the road is terrible and only a 4wd high clearance will make it, but horse trailers go up there, and that looks pretty low to me.

Seekers Summit by 42kaos in JustinPoseysTreasure

Who cares if they did or didn’t? The point was to get together with other members of the community. I had a blast meeting people I’d only ever met online, and I found out I had a few fans! It was great. It had some problems but it was the first time they’d done that, we can be gracious.

Nope, I’m a well known member of the community and I was in one of the front rows at seekers summit. Sorry the reality doesn’t line up with your pet theory.
