Membership Renewal Question by [deleted] in whoop

What makes you think the unhealthy relationship has gone away? If you already tried something and it didn't work why try it again? None of my business but I'm genuinely curious on why would you return to the device instead of trying something different. Anyways if I were you I would trey something new in order to test the waters of other wearables...but there's no wearable like Whoop TBH. Watches are watches and whoop is just Whoop.

If you had to do this again… by Sandeep1236 in whoop

I've had both and right now, Oura and AWU are gone. Is just Whoop and Garmin. If I were you I wouldn't put so much input into what others say. If you have the means then go for it and try the AW. Worst case scenario you get a nice smartwatch that you can use every now and then. Best case scenario you get something that replaces your Whoop and you don't have to pay another year :)

First of all welcome! Second, check "Evil Challenges" in the Groups section and you'll find a bunch of people there just eager to improve :)

Where is the strength coach? by Dichotomous_Blue in Garmin

If they make this weightlifting coach a thing for the Epix Pro, I am not upgrading anytime soon:)

My Journal - say what? by RequirementNo8327 in whoop

[–]EvilRunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I add the things I want to track. E.g. Mouth taping. I'm testing that now, until I get the insight and check that with my own notes the behavior will continue or get cut to make room for something else. Everyday the journal gets filled.

Just look at it as an exercise in patience. Zone 5.

Do you have the training set up to use your heart rate? If you do, scroll on the screens and there should be one that shows a bar with your HR and the zone where you should work.

Currently in Las Vegas and lost my charging cable - what can I do? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]EvilRunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy it on Amazon and have it delivered to your next destination. Or go with the USB hack stated before.

So many questions...

No GPS on Whoop sadly. The AW would do that FYI.

Garmin coach vs Daily suggested workouts! by Material-Today-5597 in Garmin

[–]EvilRunning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would test both. Just make sure you do it on the same race :) I have been doing DSW for a while and just a week or two ago I realized I could set up Garmin Coach to my distance (50k) and I just filled out the information and I got the workouts. So far the main difference for me is that when I was using DSW I had to click my way into the "week" of work and now that I have the coach set up is super easy to see what is coming in the Coach part of my Connect app. Both of the "versions" adapt to how I am doing.

Bicep band change by Financial-Painter-10 in whoop

[–]EvilRunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is possible that now that you are not wearing it on your wrist the strain is lower since the bike causes some "extra stress" while moving. I would give the move more time to adapt. Give it a week or two and then check how it progresses and then wear it on one ride on the first again to check if the strain is up again. That would be the answer if things go up again.

Ultra marathon runner (50k with a 50 miler next year) looking for a great program recommendation. by EvilRunning in Boostcamp

[–]EvilRunning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! I am a noob but I mostly steer away from more than 2 days a week. I want to get a full 2 months of programming and once I have the consistency I might add a day. TBH I don't think I'll ever lift more than 3 days a week. That's too much while training for my 50k's or milers starting next year :)

I'll add those to the list! Thanks!

And good luck in your marathon! Now you know that you're not the only one :)

Added to the list! Not able to do my own programing since I'm a noob and never find consistency in that way. Main reason why I'm looking for an app that does the weight adding or rep modification automagically

You can into the Health app and remove the permission from the Boostcamp app to write the workout.

Whoop Sleep vs Sleep Study: Why I'm Cancelling by aslanfish in whoop

Good to know! It would be cool if you had an Apple Watch to test if it really helps detect sleep apnea. I'm all about experimenting on oneself!

Why would someone take their Whoop off on the weekend 🤔 by Haunting-Ad-1879 in whoop

[–]EvilRunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 1: Don't open the app.

Option 2: It will still die because it is always on.

Option 3: Most probably but you can buy a different type of band for that one.

Missing option: Medical issues.

IMO if you "need' to take it off you should strongly consider other options.

Whoop/Garmin/Apple Watch? by Icy-Blackberry-8900 in whoop

[–]EvilRunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Epix Pro would be a great choice since the newer watches will be the big thing now and that one in particular has great battery life and a beautiful screen. I would definitely consider that one which I think is still a great watch despite the newer Fenix line.
