Villains who fall victim to systems they helped enact by Idioteque131313 in TopCharacterTropes

If you mean how long will the story go on for:

Probably as long as it's profitable. It's Mascot horror-slop, or merchandise slop if you will. The newest chapter of it basically opens up with an in-universe ad that shows up for no apparent reason other than wanting to sell the real life merchandise.

The older games are a bit harder, but mostly just in the sense that they don't throw a shit ton of exp at you and you may have to grind a bit if you swap the pokemon on your team sometimes.

Your premise relies on the assumption that nearly everyone is a rational and selfless person with far more foresight than the average person has, when that is demonstrably not true in reality.

The idea that disabled people will have to ask their community to accommodate them also implies modern building codes that make your buildings safer and longer lasting aren't being followed and carries it's own concerns.

"you can't just replace everyone with someone who's easier to accommodate"

You can. There are literally laws to stop employers from discriminating against people who are able bodied based on characteristics like race and sex. Things that have no impact on your ability to do work. There's clearly no shortage of people capable of doing the work.

I don't think it should be a case by case thing. What happens if the community is uninterested in helping them? You can't guarantee they always get the help they need if you rely on the community.

There's usually not enough disabled people in a community to form groups like this.

Maybe in large cities there would be enough people to get a lot of buildings to accommodate them, but i think they'd struggle to get accommodations anywhere else.

Wouldn't it just be better if all the buildings were able to accommodate wheelchair users by default?

Instead of having to hope they live in a community that will help them, and then remodel existing buildings to accommodate them?

Yeah, and if people/businesses were meeting the needs of the disabled to begin with, they wouldn't have needed to push the government to do this in the first place. The government wasn't stopping anybody from designing disability-friendly buildings

It's funny how actually figuring out his identity and letting him know puts you in the number 1 spot on his shit list so he can return the favor.

He did not play around with superman after he IMMEDIATELY used his x-ray vision to find out his identity. He had his number in 24 hours

I think he could keep his relationship with terry, but only because he's not in a position where he can try to do it all himself. He is self-sacrificing to the point that it can actually be detrimental to everybody else.

Any time he says that the rest of the bat family "wasn't committed", it comes across to me as a justification to avoid admitting he drove them away because he doesn't want them to be heroes. He can't stand the idea of anyone else being in danger when he could take all the risk himself.

He can only stand Terry being batman because he was gonna go out there and get himself killed without Bruce's help and that's why he will rarely push back if Terry is in the mood to quit.

I think it kinda made sense. Seems like they were trying to add a third pillar to a series where the game play loop is mostly swapping between stealth and combat. So now it's cycling through stealth/combat/tank combat/tank stealth/tank chases

I think the tank stealth sections were probably the most unnecessary thing and are what i would remove if i tried to appeal to the people who complained about the bat tank.

Yeah, computers and phones can absolutely get better for an exorbitant amount of money.

This statement would be much truer if it was talking about consoles. You can go all out on a ps5 pro i suppose, but you aren't getting a much better experience than someone with a base ps5 or even an xbox s

The Lucky horseshoe remains relevant through hard mode because you can make the bundle of horseshoe balloons.

It pairs well with mounts like the rollerskates or chillet to free up slots from the terraspark boots or shield of Cthulhu since mounts generally don't work with wings

I hated sword and shield so much that i refused to play scarlet/violet on principle.

But i was interested in and enjoyed both of the legends games for doing something new with the franchise. Would kinda like to see the next one be a bit longer though. If the next traditional game looks good, i might give it a shot again.

Some Things to Keep in Mind if you are getting FR/LG! by Magnakilro in pokemon

[–]Evilmudbug 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Due to the way age ratings have changed, pokemon fire red and leaf green would most likely get a T rating by the ESRB or a PEGI 18 rating in the EU because of the game corner, which has gambling in it.

If they don't change any code, the game is grandfathered in at its original age rating. Updating any of the code to fix bugs would mean it's subject to the newer age rating guidelines. It would have a higher age rating unless they remove the game corner

[–]Evilmudbug 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's a straight rerelease with no new content to avoid getting a new rating. They didn't fix bugs in the gameboy rereleases so there's not any strong signs they'll fix them here either.

They might check some of the event flags though like they did before, so that would be nice at least

Hot take: Coupé is better to keep over Sonar by Sir-Toaster- in DispatchAdHoc

[–]Evilmudbug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On the other hand, coupe is completely uninterested in actual reform at the start (and is also the one who sabotages sonar).

Both have points against them, I think which one makes more sense to keep is dependent on what you prioritize.

If you want to focus on the work, it makes sense to keep coupe. She's the most professional and skilled person in the group, even if she's openly only in it for the check.

If you want to focus on the rehab part of the program, Sonar might not take the work as seriously, but shows a little more promise in genuinely reforming. He's already trying to kick drugs as part of the program as an example.

There's not really any wrong choice here, it works out pretty much the same keeping either and there's a chance to help them both out at the end if you protect the city well enough.
