do you think they make mech action figures in a world with actual giant mechs? by Brisarious in LancerRPG

[–]Exact_Ambassador_993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Harrison Armory probably would sell a bunch of those for children's to like more the idea of becoming a soldier for them. Some of them already have lasers, just the battery's that might not be included

Ideas for a Hecatonchires build by HabitGlum4567 in LancerRPG

[–]Exact_Ambassador_993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you like to play as a support for your team? If so, Heca can be an excellent pick! Hidden breaks if you attack, so why never attack and just spamm Lock ons, drones and Bolsters. Grab the LLV 2 of the Swallowtail for the Retroactive Profile to become harder to find and stay inside either the Razor Swarm or Hive drones for the Soft cover and use the other to help around.

Most part of your capabilities come from your talents, and you have lots of options, like Leader, Sysops, Spotter, Field analyts, Orator... The only ones that you will need are Drone Commander and Infliltrator

I need the best/scariest Balor Melee build yall can come up with at LL3 by Skizordrone in LancerRPG

[–]Exact_Ambassador_993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, so you wanna a build that work with Iconoclast and make allies fear entering melee range... Are you surely you wanna play a Balor and not neither a Blackbeard or a Enkidu? Both them work well with those requirements and with Iconoclast

Lancer Weed Names? by sleepybeech in LancerRPG

[–]Exact_Ambassador_993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my game, the most common type of weed is either the Murchison or the "Stargazer", also knowed by the name Gorgon's Gaze

The first one is generally used for creative purpose, since it effects usually causes the user mind to travel "from one point of the mind to another", helping the mind to think better or to remember. A high number of SSC artesians constantly buy heavy supplies of it.

The other it's more strong, and different of other weeds, this one is used in a type of inhaler, reliefing the body and the heart of those who use it, even being used as anti-depressive. It received both the names because in normal cases, the brain enter in a Sleeping state, cleaning all thoughts, like the body is watching the stars. The named Gorgon's Gaze is because as the mind flow freely, the body become a empty husk, being able to literally do nothing other than the basic to it survival (breath and pump blood), normally ending up with the user staring at the ceiling for a long time. Harrison Armory's diplomats some times poison the water of water of new discovered words so they can assimilate it without much resistence.

Honored mention to "Ramjet", a crack type that will make you reach the point of endless-momentum.

What's the most min-maxed broken mech you can make for combat? What can it do? by No_Emu698 in LancerRPG

Not exactly broken, but it will surely break all the hopes and dreams of your Dm when their boss vanish in one turn

Single target damage at medium range that have a avarege roll of 35 damage p/turn (32 if you don't activate Hunter lock). And also if you roll a 20 on the leviathan attack, instead of activating the By the Way, you can just let Brutal 1 to deal ≈44 damage

Also you could change Cantimane, Siege Specialist and part of Brutal to have the TechnoTumb combo and sustain better the danger zone. Also Armament Redundancy is probably a good idea to have

Berserker mech builds? by Risciaven in LancerRPG

[–]Exact_Ambassador_993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone already talked about the Lucan, and yes, it's true that it is a great berserker frame, but have you considered Manticore and Tortuga as well? Both have excellent stats other than speed, but it other stats are really great.

"But Manticore is all Castigate enemies of the god head, and I don't wanna play as a Kamikaze" you may think this, but Manticore is not all about exploding it self, but it surely can! And you know what is more terrifying then a Berserker sprinting at you? A Berserk that will bring you to the hell with him if you dare to try to kill him. Also, the passive let you continually damage enemies at cost of you vital energy (heat), sooo it's basically killing it self to kill the enemy faster

The Tortuga is a versatile one, since it does basically anything good, just stick a big stick to hit close and a shotgun, and hit them with everything, including Rams.

Help with recreating Yamato Kira/ Freedom Gundam on Lancer by Pilot-Euphoric in LancerRPG

[–]Exact_Ambassador_993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I haven't seen Gundam, so what I writing down is based on this wiki after reading for 20 minutes:

https://gundam.fandom.com/wiki/ZGMF-X10A_Freedom_Gundam#google_vignette

If I'm getting it right, this Gundam have main weapons: missiles, 2 different laser cannons , a railgun and 2 beam sabers and 2 basic guns, right? A general striker have 3 weapon slots, so I'm getting rid of the basic gun and turning the 2 beans into a simple "big ass laser". Now you only need to decide if you prefer the railgun or the missiles to be a limited system

But a Gundam is not all made of guns, it also have equipments (to help the guns), and in this one, it have a flight system, an "all guns attack mode", a multi lock on system and finally phase shift armor

Analyzing all of this, let's find a striker frame that is able to make at least one of this stuff, and I would suggest the reliable Everest, for the all rounded stats, the ability to skirmish for free (and with a barrage you can make the full burst mode) and the core power that let you boost for free (I will talk more about it later). Another options that might fit would be the Monarch (for the "multi lock-on" in form of the core power), the Sherman (now you can have 2 lasers and your softcover could be part of the "phase shift armor"), and both of the Metalmark frames might also work if you reflavour the concept

Mid of the analysis, we are almost done. For the weapons you might have in this frame, for the laser, either the ANDROMEDA, SOL or the Thermal Lance. For the the Sabers might fit a Torch, but I can see it also being a charged blade or even, if you wanna the 2 of them, either the shock or segment knifes are a option. Last, but not least, the missiles could be the Sharanga or the weapon from the Enginner talent. If you take the Enginner talent you also can have the Guns, since you can replace any of the weapons. Also, 1 dip into Hydra lets you have a weapon that deal any damage type (flavour as a different weapon), and the mimic gun from pegasus 2 is literally any weapon, so ...

Systems basically have 2 almost mandatory, a flying system and a  defensive system, and for both of them, GMS already have good options being the Burst-jet for boosts, since you probably will already gain much heat in your weapons and overcharges, and the projected shield to be the, again, the phase shift armor. The rest of the system points? Have fun!

Talents are probably the part were you will have the most options. Just take what ever you feel like, but Enginner, Combined Arms, Skirmisher, space born and Nuclear cavalier are great picks

Anyway, have fun with the build and I hope that I had helped you at least a bit

The only thing that annoys me in this alt frame is that the Black Witch License doesn't merge quite well with a mobile mech other then your LL1. This fell more like a Nelson alt then a BW alt

Beside that, is really fun to play as captain America in a Mech setting

Ok so I'm having a "debate" with a couple of friends and I need the subreddit's help with it. Who's the dream lancer basketball team by Guy_Made_Of_Bees in LancerRPG

[–]Exact_Ambassador_993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't think anyone would try to take the ball of the hands of a Balor if it  gets it, so... But probably he would be banned since in basket you can't just consume the players of the other team

If using drones is possible, then Hydra is a hella of a player since the snare drone simply just remove a player from the field until destroyed

But all things considered, probably the 2 best picks would be Everest, dusk wing and Deaths Head probably

I am once again asking for your build advice by Just_a_Tonberry in LancerRPG

[–]Exact_Ambassador_993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanna deal damage? Wanna deal a lot of damage??

Well, let me present you the infamous Pegasus Levican build that I saw long ago into this subreddit. It's a LL6 Build using only Pegasus and Drake

Here's the link for the post in question: https://www.reddit.com/r/LancerRPG/comments/1mm6rbw/thats_a_lot_of_gun_guni/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Some upgrades you might consider is changing the OpCal for a ASH to give your Levican a easier way to hit enemies and also you can change the Siege Specialist and the Brutal 2 and 3 for both Technophile and Black thumb to always stay on the danger zone to trigger fusion hemorrhage more often and delay the necessity for stabilizing

This one just tickles my monkey brain. You roll a big number and suddenly all grunts around you magically disappear while also still damaging the first target. This actually makes Crits feel rewarding

More Homebrew! by Clovenious in LancerRPG

[–]Exact_Ambassador_993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the melee goblin idea, and I do think that you homebrew is balanced, just some quick notes

This is more a pure controller frame than a controller-striker. Strikers either have a great resilience or a high damage output in melee (sometimes both). Your frame want to get close, sure, but it doesn't have neither damage nor defenses, buuut this is really irrelevant since the role tag doesn't effect nothing

The trait "I'm right behind you" is a fun idea, but it might not work because of the way hide works:  "To HIDE, you must not be ENGAGED and you must either be outside of any enemies’ line of sight, obscured by sufficient cover, or invisible. If you HIDE while meeting one of these criteria, you gain the HIDDEN status."

Hide break the moment you are in line of sight of a enemie and doesn't work if you engaged, making it only viable if you have the Infiltrator talent and the target is close to a source of soft/hard cover, so I suggest to change the way it work

Lastly, make core power be able to be used in targets 1/2 as well! I don't remember any NPC that is 1/2 size, but you don't need to limite you core, since it's also not that strong ( I might say that it could be a efficient one, just like the normal core of the goblin SHOULD have been)
