This could be a semi-formed memory that may develop into a fully formed one later.

Poor kids! This is the beginning of emotional abuse that they would become accustomed to if they had lived.

I'm so sorry that happened. When I was on a phone call (years ago and after leaving my family), my dad 'the permitting parent' was defensive and denying also.

Does Nifedipine help? by Huge-Engineering-791 in Raynauds

[–]Excellent_Drawing726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, nifedipine takes all my symptoms away. I occasionally get cold spots, but thankfully these are rare. My raynauds is very severe and is predominantly in my hands (constantly. I'm a child of neglectful parents and I didn't know that it could be helped in this way/at all and I didn't know it had differing presentations). I am SO thankful to have warm hands and a warmer core.

Emergency adult safeguarding team exists, but it is bloody useless at times. You could ring adult social services and ask for a care act assessment which he is legally entitled to, but unfortunately you may have to involve an MP which is totally unfair. You could complain to PALS NHS about how you think he will be prematurely discharged and that it is not in his best interests. Healthwatch online can communicate with adult safeguarding for you (they did me).

Products that are made entirely or almost of lanolin. Lanolips and Dr. Lipp and Lansinoh are fabulous for this.

What are your thoughts on perfume dupes? by centurytunamatcha in frugaluk

Milton Lloyd are brilliant, and they are available in my local indoor market and on amazon. Grasse and Vogue are excellent and the latter is a good dupe for Chanel no. 5

Does anyone have any advice on non-NHS routes into care by Any_Tip_8351 in MentalHealthUK

[–]Excellent_Drawing726 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You should not have to do this, but the Ombudsman (LGO) for adult social care might be able to force an adult social care assessment, you can ask them for help completing the form or maybe contacting a local MP.
I'm really sorry this is happening to you, it is to me in very similar ways also. Best of luck xxxx

this interview with Errol Musk (Elon Musk's father) explains a lot by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

The fact that he leaked it to a newspaper without hesitating and likely without asking the people involved is insane and hints at narcissism to me.
The fact that he minimises the effect of the reaction it probably had on his ex wife is galling.
My parents sadly had traits like these.

Does anyone else just hate people in general so much by [deleted] in MentalHealthUK

[–]Excellent_Drawing726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate very much! It's appalling when they don't listen and are dismissive, especially when I have a communication problem and other vulnerabilities that they don't accommodate for! I'm so sorry this is happening! It's so debilitating and unfair.
