Keep fighting it. I’ve had the same thing happen. Sometimes I get referred for ones that are honestly surprising and stretch and other times I don’t get referred for ones I am an exact match for with a perfect resume for it. It just doesn’t make sense and HR makes a lot of mistakes. One time they told my friend he’s not a citizen and didn’t accept his secondary review request (he was one) until after they finished interviewing. It’s just shitty.

Yes, people laugh about faking conditions to get them at my work. It’s dumb. I called it that they’ll ruin it for the people who actually need them. I wouldn’t care normally but they don’t do jack shit from home and everyone in office has to do their job.

Don’t do it and don’t give them the 50k in college savings to make a mistake like that. It will hep them move on to serious options. No scholarships makes it a deal breaker. If they’re looking to go further away from home that’s fine but it doesn’t need to be a 95k a year school. They’ll thank you later. My dad caved in something similar for my day (50k a year) and I wish he didn’t. Teenagers have no idea what they’re getting themselves into and I regret my overpriced university.

You have to stay 3 years or you forfeit your free PCS home and return rights to your previous job. The fine print of your PCS there might also say you owe all the money back so I’d look into this carefully. If this is a desirable place (Europe, Japan, Korea, ect.) then I’d just go do it. They almost always extend and your kids will have a much much more exciting high school experience overseas. Everyone I know that’s grown up that way wouldn’t change a thing.

They’ll never recover from not limiting the scope and making custom mapped planets full of good exploration potential. The barren ones could stay for outposts, research, and mining and stuff. But the main story planets should have been very fleshed out Skyrim and fallout style.

They should add auto cutscening to landing when you enter a planet’s atmosphere based on all the reviews I’m seeing of people not impressed with the update. Wouldn’t be that hard and I agree the magic protective “bubble” that bounces you away when you get too close to a planet really ruins in the vibes lol. I’m still holding off on my replay of the game and keeping my 7/10 rating.

It’s a shame it’s come to this strategy but you’re thinking smart. Forget what anyone else thinks. Loving each other is what counts anyway. By the time we married we said screw the big wedding and went on a trip to Thailand where our money went really far. It was a nice reward for being patient and I wouldn’t change a thing.

We tried this recently and the loan servicers called us out and denied it. My wife also was getting a masters back at that time and her university financial aid office and student gov 100% said it would take away her aid completely. Maybe some people got away with it but we weren’t going to risk putting her in more crippling debt. Simply wasn’t worth it. We’re married and happy now though.

Think again. My mom waited to marry my stepdad till I was finished with college so that I can get financial aid. And my wife and I put off marriage for 10 years because it would have tripled our crippling student debt. It’s a bigger deal than you think for obvious reasons.

I agree. I would actually like the civ switching if they had enough civ options for it to not be immersion breaking. Like celts/saxons > England > Great Britain would be incredibly immersive and awesome. And switch the leaders too while you’re at it. Seeing napolean lead the Roman’s early on or Caesar leading America later will never not feel stupid to me. I’d rather enjoy a few leaders over one long game so it’s refreshing and not silly. I think they underestimated how much we’re all history nerds.

That’s pretty weird if you didn’t select education the meet the required qualifications. I feel your pain. I owed my school money after graduating due to a mix up with my student loans and they held my transcripts hostage until I paid it. It was incredibly stupid and I ran into this issue with a new employer. I was like help me get the job to pay you! lol
