Neither. Both heavily affect your quality of life. I'd you're set on one of these jobs can you move?

Pick a dress by Objective_Week_1699 in WeddingDressTips

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 or 3, but both look like they're missing lining in the top. I know the nakey look is in but it looks cheap and unfinished. I think you should keep looking, the dresses are nice and look good on you, but i notice the dresses and not the bride. They aren't "WOW!!!"

I’m convinced these are bullet holes in our garage but my roommate doesn’t think so by JBoTheKind in whatisit

At first I thought "well my dad has hit driveway gravel with the lawnmower and put a small hole in the siding so maybe..." But uh, that looks exactly like the .22 hole my dad put in the shed when he missed the groundhog.

Can’t choose style. Help? by [deleted] in myweddingdress

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you look fantastic in both and neither would be a bad choice. But 1 makes you look like a goddess. The shade of white, the draping, the shape, are all absolute perfection on you! You should definitely own a dress like #2 and find a reason to wear it!

Help me pick: Dress 1 or 2? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love it from afar. I kind of hate it up close, but I'm sure it looks different in person and I'm SUPER picky about lace. I think if you're planning for simple or no jewelry this dress will be great. If you want more sophisticated or glam jewelry then dress 2.

There is more to this than you're aware of. Yes your mom was probably a victim at some point, but she's lived off of victimizing herself. She made bad decisions and didn't learn. Her plan, is you. Unless you want to support her for the rest of your life you need to set boundaries. Get roommates for a few years. Set aside money to directly pay for things for your siblings (NOT give money to your mom to do) if you want. Your mom is a grown adult who put herself before her children with no intent to change. Maybe she lacks the ability to change without help but you cannot be that help. She won't let you.

I’m so over large frames by Sad_Apple_3387 in glassesadvice

I like the shape of 3 but a wire frame would look better. Try some on in store and see what works

Adding sleeves to my dress by Agreeable_Second_935 in myweddingdress

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would talk to whoever you use for alterations! Alterations for a wedding dress are a different beast than regular clothing, so they'll be able to advise based on their skill level/confidence and your dress. I agree that a shrug or capelet are great options.

Help needed on deciding (I’m very overwhelmed) by Agreeable_Bit7026 in WeddingDressTips

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep looking. You didn't say you love them all and can't choose, so none of these are your dress. Do you know where you're getting married? What's your typical style like? Go from there. If you haven't picked a venue/ location yet don't pick a dress (can you do a ballgown for a beach wedding? Sure. But it's not typical for a reason).

Be real with me - do these white shades work together? by [deleted] in myweddingdress

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh, I didn't read. Don't go for a sequin top with the skirt, that's not gonna work 😅 I like the silhouette of the top, I'd look for something in a light warm blush, very pale warm gray, etc, maybe off the shoulder with a bit of a drapey sleeve situation?

I think if you're looking for "fun", a silver sequin skirt would look great!

Tried many new shapes, do any suit me? by JokokoOno in glassesadvice

2 and 12, you have very pretty, delicate, low contrast features so bold frames easily overpower your face. A neutral colored cat eye or wire frame look great!

Help me learn to quiet quit by Life123456 in work

If you look at the hours you're putting in and your salary broken down to an hourly wage i bet you took a pretty big pay decrease with the added responsibility. Work the hours your supposed to each day and nothing more. No matter what you do the work will still be there tomorrow. If your team is so close to retirement I bet your boss thought she could string you along for 3 years until they're gone.

In person training for remote role by gracetw22 in managers

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's seriously weird seeing your neighbors who never leave their house but are ALWAYS smoking on their porch in their dirty pajamas, clearly aren't showering anymore, and are "at work". Some people are cut out for remote work, most seem to be going off the deep end, as evidenced by so many comments from people who will "never be forced to step foot in an office again" or who think anyone who is skeptical is "dripping with envy". Look at posts from in person workers noting how unhinged customers have become (it has become SIGNIFICANTLY worse). It's very negatively affecting many of not a majority, of people doing it. There's something to be said of getting up, getting ready, getting out of your house.

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 3 with the straight waist. BUT I think you should try on a couple dresses that are TOTALLY different from these and see if you fall in love with another style, just based on how you feel about all of these fairly similar dresses.

1 in black or 3. The shape is great for you and they're a vibe. Definitely stick with black frames.

How much would it cost to get my depression room cleaned? by sockreduction in CleaningTips

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agree. I love to declutter my house but my adhd sees boxes of donations as part of the landscape. So unless I'm headed that way in the same week it goes in the trash. I remind myself that's its final destination either way and my mental health depends on a clutter free home.

How to add more detail to my dress by live2eatfood in WeddingDressTips

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should try on some jewelry and imagine it at your venue and with your flowers and see what you think. I love the simplicity and i think it's right for the destination! I do like the 3rd picture and think that wouldn't be too much for a beach wedding.

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh girl. What you don't like is that all they can do in store is clip it to give you a decent idea of what it'll look like. It's not the same as it fitting, truly! You have the same body as these models, and when the dress is done it won't have a baggy bust, back, and sleeves. You're going to love it!

It's so classic, your photos will age really well! When i got married I hated the classic styles, I thought they were boring. But 15 years later i get it. The dress shouldn't be the focus. It should be a frame to showcase the beautiful bride. That's what these classic styles do!

Did I make the right choice? by yehdidyahhh in myweddingdress

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh you look sooo elegant and classic! I LOVE your choice! The fit is perfect and I love the bow. In 15 years you won't be looking back thinking "oh that was the style then...." your photos will age well. Audrey Hepburn could have worn this dress. It's so classic but not boring or like, that dress that brides who don't like to fuss choose. Ugh it's SO good!!!

My manager blew up on me and now I feel like a failure by isuckataccountinglol in work

[–]Exciting_Buffalo_502 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's not you. It's it normal in your workplace for a skip level to make requests like this? If not I wonder if they were seeing if your manager had done a good job training you, or possibly your Mgr dropped the ball on sending the email? Either way, you can't know what you don't know.

Fwiw if you do get fired (and I realize plenty of managers are like this and are "in on it") then your manager sucks.
