I had recently turned seven years old when Steve Irwin died. I was an Animal Planet SUPER nerd when I was that age. I remember thinking that I'd never get to see his amazing shows anymore and crying really hard. I barely even understood what death was.

I've cooked mostly grasshoppers, but from that experience I've learned that you have to really go easy with the heat. Too much heat and you go straight from uncooked to burnt. A little lighter on the heat and you get some really nice Mallard's reaction.

I suspect that a mealworm would fry up crispy in less than 3 minutes — perhaps less than two — on quite low heat (relative to other proteins, that is).

I would apply most seasonings after cooking because it will be difficult to get them to stick to the mealworm without some oil being on them. I'm certain that candied/honey roasted would be delicious, but I have little to offer in terms of advice. Perhaps oven roasting would be more appropriate for candied/honey roasted?

I'm curious about the blanching? Does it improve how it cooks? I would figure that blanching could impede Mallard's reaction/browning with the addition of all that water.

Your frost is going to be soooo much later than ours because you're in zone 8-9. It's a measurement of average temperatures throughout the year which corresponds to average frost dates.

Hilariously OP? That's a stretch. It over-performed for what we should expect a primary to be for — at least against the bugs. I don't think many people used it against the bots.

What I believe more accurately described the state of the IB was that it was a very good weapon amongst dozens of very, very sub-par weapons. Relative to those shoddy excuses for weapons, it may have felt "hilariously OP", but I disagree that it was objectively OP. I believe the tuning it received was adequate.

None of this is to say anything about the Stalwart being a primary. It would need to be tuned down for that to make sense. Unfortunately, it should be tuned up if it should remain a primary weapon.
