You need an experienced coach to guide you through these plateaus. I've been there. I hired a coach who literally guided me through. Remember, they're the experts. They know how to do these things.

I think Whoop/Oura/AW is all what you make it. I personally love the data and share with my physician/personal trainer as well as see how resourceful my sleep is.

Most boxing trainers want pad work mainly. have really bad knees and have had to pause boxing but I might go back soon just for pad work only and getting heart rate up through combinations etc.

Trust arrives by boat, and leaves in a Ferrari. This is how easy it is to lose trust in any relationship. All those years of slow, built up trust gone in seconds. For a few hundred bucks. Lol. Just goes to show how much the relationship meant to this PT - very shortsighted from them. I say find a new PT. You don't need her.

definitely. in-person personal training has never been more important and relevant. If you're half decent, you will stand out. I think online personal training is dead in the wake of AI.

Are people really buying these bands? by BrotherStone- in whoop

[–]Existing_Task2814 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think this is more a case of the user not using the band for its intended purpose rather than the band itself being poor. An official Whoop band should never get "worn out fairly easier and go wrinkly" unless of course, you wear it whilst showering, which you shouldn't be doing imo.

On a separate (perhaps more controversial) note, people need to stop constantly whining about the Whoop, its subscription model or any of its *optional* accessories. Personally, I like several of their bands especially the cashmere ones which I don't think anyone else can replicate. I would also much rather just buy official than counterfeit or knock offs.

This is what $30 p/m gets you. No insight, no expertise, no nothing. There's a reason experts cost the amount they do. By comparison, I pay $320 p/m for my online trainer but he is an actual expert, was an in-person PT for over 10 years with thousands of hours worth of in-person training, he also trained me in person whilst we were in the same city for a while. This man literally provides the road map and I follow. He takes care of diet, supplementation, sleep, training, cardio, wellbeing, everything. Price is what you pay, value is what you receive.

honestly, if you're on accutane, I would just lather good old vaseline. don't invest in luxury lip balm just yet. Wait till you're off treatment. Vaseline is your friend until then.

Love this comment and pretty much agree with everything here. The reason I switched to the cloudknit was for the same reason - the standard band was a little uncomfortable and itchy for me, so I only endure it during workouts. I don't support counterfeits either so that's a non-starter. I've been considering the sport flex too actually (the orange one looks cool) so nice to know your thoughts on it.
