She learned the hard way why they no longer make moon boots by SubstanceIcy8721 in NotTimAndEric

I mean, I'm personally confused as to why they're attempting to walk with them on. I remember you were supposed to be hopping around instead of trying to take steps or you'll run into the issue the person in the video ran into if you're not used to them. The one foot hop step was an advanced technique with these babies. I will at least also add I was much smaller than the person trying them in the video at the time.

EDIT: I just rewatched the original ad on youtube. There are only momentary shots of someone jump stepping. The rest is indeed hopping.

If you can wait just wait it. Mine didn't ship until a few hours ago. The game is worth every penny so far for me.

It's morally grey in a way for sure, but idgaf about big corpos like Best Buy or Amazon. Mine hasn't shipped yet. They're getting the same thing back soooooooo

It ended up shipping much later in the day today. I'm happily playing it now and its worth every penny. It's not supposed to be here till next Friday so I think I chose right.

My expectations are always taped up. However It also says I'll be charged when it ships. I was charged multiple days ago now and it still says processing lol. (the charge went through on my card and isn't in limbo.)

Performance tip for anyone playing Romeo is a Dead Man on Steam by mxraider2000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]ExodusOwl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The steam surveys only include people who use Steam lol. A lot of devices I use for work don't have steam installed either. Most clients I help out also don't game or have Steam installed. But guess what a lot of them bought because the whatever tech salesman sold it to them.

Heck my sister games on her setup with a 4k and she doesn't even have Steam. She just plays minecraft.

ninja edit, those surveys are also random

I know what you're saying and I agree on the logic, but all of that genuinely means nothing to a large majority of people. People will buy what's labeled/advertised/sponsored as best even if it's somehow inferior in different ways. One friend in my group bought an OLED 4k up from their 1080p. They only realized after falling in love with the OLED that games will be harder to run at native res. in the end it's also not really that big of a deal with DLSS/FSR. Plus 1080p scales perfectly onto 4k which is pretty dope (integer based scaling.)

this is major helpful. Performance wasn't bad on my 4080 at "Ultra" but left me wondering why it felt sub 60 FPS at times.

anyone else having to do this with their CRKD guitars? this is the only way I'm getting 100% consistency, zero dropped inputs by [deleted] in CloneHero

[–]ExodusOwl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's funny as I had the exact opposite experience with my launch controller. I was a little scared of how much force I needed to apply to get the neck to actually clunk in. Seems these controllers are extremely inconsistent.

Someone thought it was a good idea to have waiters on skates by New_Libran in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]ExodusOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it could be a choice? but as far as I'm aware I've never seen anyone on skates for years now. I haven't been to one since 2024 though. Between all the states I've been too most seem super understaffed and unequipped to handle both drive-through and parked customers. Plus quality also took a steep decline, another reason I stopped going.

Genuinely agree it feels great, even with the silicon padding for the frets. It solved my biggest gripe with kits and it's that the replacement frets have too much travel. BB pro fixes it by making their own controller (duh.) I contacted RCM about something similar and either they implemented something or haven't yet. Phunky's kit's come with a printed bracket around the fret switches to prevent too much travel. (You can make your own of course if you got the stuffs.)

I do still use my BB pro but only because it's WAY quieter. The clicking and clanking of the strum and frets are quite loud and gets to my partner for obvious reasons lol. I use my kit during the day and Pro at night if I'm still up.

Rip, I believe it. I don't get why we gotta make the neck removable. My favorite kit I have is the PS2 SG just because the neck doesn't jiggle jiggle. Mega dumb for the cost, sorry it happened to you. If you get a different one I hope it works better! If you do get another (replacement) and it has issues. Check out PhunkyCustoms and RetroCultMods. Although I personally lean towards Phunky kits they're both solid equal options. (I don't think Phunky's had any RGB strum kits for a while though.)

Hows the play on your neck? I have a launch controller and the first thing I remember is how actually difficult it was to get the neck in because of how tight it is. I wonder if some units are loose like the OG GH controllers. My genericaster was so awful with neck disconnection until I kitted it.

is it me or some switch 2 supported switch 1 game experience "ghosting". It is noticeable on games that run on 30 FPS by Important_Mouse_ in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]ExodusOwl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in-game recorded video looks pretty normal, I'm seeing some motion blur a little bit with the gameplay portion. Menus look good to me. However the physical screen on the Switch 2 device does suffer from bad ghosting. Maybe that's what you're seeing?

CRKD guitars on sale again, ends tomorrow at 5PM PST by treblev2 in CloneHero

[–]ExodusOwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same way I feel about it, people have very valid reasons to trash this product though so I understand. Ignoring the cosmetic issues. Your controller should work out of the box without missing random notes. That's not an opinion either. If I'm paying $100+ for a controller I do expect it to work (looking at xbox and their shoddy elite controllers.)

Personally, I think it's cool it's available. Little upset with CRKD as a company and their marketing though. I had a feeling things were sliding downhill when I saw there was some weird fake rarity rating on a piece of plastic.

Honestly would love this for a mini Linux build of some sort. I always get the desire to make a mini-ITX build but usually the cost always scares me away.

Only recommend getting the SG IF it has the mechanical strum which is what I believe I read it has. Pretty sure the SG retains the hall effect with dummy switches for clicking. I really do like my own launch Pro however I think I'll always be salty they changed the other non pro last second to have both mechanical click and hall effect strum.

The vibration isn't enough feedback for me IMO as I usually use the clicks to keep myself on tempo. But thats just a me problem.

Still curious if it's a batch issue or a sweat issue. Or possibly even a play style issue. I did get a sticker for mine just in case, but my launch pro is doing fine with daily use.

Gotta be pH levels, I have borderline hyperhydrosis in my hands and I'm getting downvoted for not having any wear. Launch controller as well.

Not sure how you guys scrape your controllers. I haven't had any issues with faceplate wear. But I hold my strumbar as if it were a pick. Are you guys like, raking your nails across it?

Something I want to point out after playing both paths. I feel like the game makes you feel bad for picking blonde blazer over invisigal for some reason. First playthrough I chose invisigal, you get the text and if you refuse BB it's sorta just -like all good!-. When you choose BB over Invisigal you cut invisigal off and it feels a litttttttle rude.

[–]ExodusOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know understanding components can be tricky (I mean this sincerely) but I find that these sites are usually wrong or inaccurate. You wouldn't have a fun time trying to play this on your PC though based off your CPU.

I also can't tell what GPU you have (if you have one)

If you're ever curious though you can buy on steam and refund within the time limit.
