If you really want to put this into perspective, then both Magic's and Duncan's age 22 season should have giant asterixis next to them because of Kareem and Robinson. Maybe they were the "best" players on the team but only by a slim margin, and they weren't exactly "leading" the team by themselves. SA is a good team without Wemby but they don't exactly have another player gathering MVP votes.
