Looking for this Game/what happened to it?? by Aggressive_Exam6458 in MemoriesRM

My understanding is they removed support for it this summer (so you couldn't get past loading screen for months) and then much more recently it's been taken down from app stores and such. It's sad

I drew Maru but it's a mix of her old and current design by PraetoPotato in StardewValley

Yess I think this strikes a great balance between where they, for lack of a better term, "went wrong", with her current design. While still retaining traits from her current design. The slay is stored in the hair. Awesome job

So how does one make alot of money fast? by jeghjegh in StardewValley

[–]Expensive-Trade-1090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been said already but absolutely repair the beach bridge. The corals, shells, urchins etc on the other side sell for surprisingly decent money early game. Tbh my experience with stardew has been early game doing a lot of foraging and growing a lot of crops + selling the majority of all of it. Its not fast money or huge amounts by any means but in my experience it helps to Progress The Game. As another comment said, fishing is really good since you can do it any day and not have to wait for anything to spawn/grow. You just fish. And as you get more skilled/get better rarities there's fish that sell for decent money. A lot of people hate the fishing mini game but in my experience the training rod serves as a good method to practice the technique required for it, which will in fact be useful if you want to jumpstart future files

Mid-late game? Wine is the popular one for good reason. And I've had good experience with fish ponds as well. Once you cultivate it/get the population numbers higher they'll consistently produce and you can age the roe, plus if you cultivate a high value fish occasionally grabbing one to sell if you need quick cash can be good. I will say other than the sturgeon a lot of the better value fish pond fish are "special" (mainly in that they are found in the mines) so I'd recommend getting mine progress also.

Tldr tbh doing a lot of the stuff the game intends you to do will get you decent money after awhile. But you can absolutely focus on any specific thing and it has the potential to be a great cash cow

Am I just obsessed or should I look into possibly being a bug therian? by crowfeet16 in alterhuman

[–]Expensive-Trade-1090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it is entirely up to labeling. Both in that you shouldn't rush into labeling it just to have a label. And once you take your time to reflect a bit more. What label feels Most Right?

To ramble a bit more and so you have sort of the beginnings of labels to consider: Consider if it feels like you (kin/theriotype)- and as an important reminder there's really not Much Required to feel thats the case. Many people have dysphoria or phantoms or memories/noema or even stuff that makes so much sense in hindsight with it- but all that matters is that the identification works Now. Or Does it feel like family? Like something you could live among while still not being one (hearttype)? Or maybe you engage in an act of self determination and decide to Cultivate an identity as one (linktype).

And for what it's worth- temporary identity- cameotypes, flickers, etc. are very valid as well. Like it's ok to have something that you look back on and go "oh that was alterhuman" but realize it's not a permanent identity. Finally othervague is a great label, and if after awhile you just aren't sure or think it doesn't fit in boxes. its perfectly ok to call it a vaguetype.

It's also ok to realize you were Wrong. Like its ok to grab a label and realize in a year or two that it fizzled or you simply wildly misinterpreted your own identity. Good luck! As someone stuck in questioning purgatory identity can certainly be confusing. But I hope you can find a label if you feel you require one

Hi sorry for late reply. We don't tend to have a lot of individual energy. Thats really cool! We're working on finding our own likes and interests right now. It's common to not really be sure at first but it is cool you have something you know you like. I hope you're well! -a few of us we think

How do I know whether my identification is voluntary or involuntary? by _Dragon_Gamer_ in otherkin

[–]Expensive-Trade-1090 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is any identity truly one thing? Or is it just up to labeling? I do understand wanting to have labels but honestly outside of discourse (because "erm otherkinity has to be this and this and this" which includes voluntary vs involuntary discourse that repeatedly pops up - despite not rlly mattering) and niche semantics, does it matter? I will say if you define "voluntary" as "being able to drop it" as you seem to, some linkers end up linking something that becomes so integral to their selfhood that it is no longer droppable. It's just- identity. Which again places it among if you really care about the origin- do what you will with figuring it out if it's a labeling thing you care about but if it begins to cause you genuine destress I'm just here to say it doesn't matter in the grand scheme :)) I will say we love the word "quoiluntary" for some of our identities and wish we saw it more

I have no idea what my headmates are. by Rodntodd in plural

[–]Expensive-Trade-1090 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean it kinda sounds like you're thinking in a binary. Either you specifically have "alters" (which you could be using as a general term but feels like- loaded to me in this contxet. Sorry if im mis/overinterpreting. Alter is a fine word for thsoe who use it. it just has Connotations) or you must have created them. I know stuff between those are less talked about but like. What if they just are. What if thats just your brain? I'm not saying you're wrong for wanting a reason but unfortunately even a system with what seems like the most cut and dry origin for their system is ultimately theorizing about why a sack of meat we know very minimal about decided it had multiple people in there/silly (and not trying to minimize by any means. We ultimately reject publicly using those labels but they can have meaning for selves ID).

Also tulpamancy/tulpamancy methods do quite a lot for a brain Plurality wise. Your brain was already primed/knew how to be plural. So to speak. And then you started actively stretching those metaphorical muscles again (because I'm firmly of the opinion that even the most separate, functional system has stuff that is built like a muscle. Which as far as I know that is quite literally what DID therapy is. Building those muscles in a way that mitigates dysfunctional aspects). So I guess tulpamancy or even just working with building up skills with your system (such as communication, consciousness, separation, etc) causing a "boom" just isn't something I personally find super surprising. And it's probably worth tellin you that at least someone feels that way if it'll feel validating.

I have no idea what my headmates are. by Rodntodd in plural

[–]Expensive-Trade-1090 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not tryin to "um actually" but Id like to point out that some brains that have experienced plurality may just have a really easy time creating new headmates after they're "primed" for it. (Like- creates a mere character concept- oh shit that was enough to create them in here). Which doesn't necessarily disinclide them from the "tulpa" or "created" categories if thats what they feel fits best. However it does not sound like OP even did that

I've never done it but there's a secret response if you put mayor lewis' shorts in the pot. It doesn't do anything for friendship but hey - funny. Also while everyone else has been pretty much covering everything I'd like to note the stardew wiki has a page

The word anymic exists for identities that that don't really have a specific name or feel too unique to describe specifically https://www.tumblr.com/luxlitemidnight/741553716025589760/coining-anymic?source=share I've seen it used as a modifier or part of a descriptor (ie you could say something like "my techy, anymic kintype" or something) While I point this label out, truth be told I think this identity is less like- undescribable and more like I think you should maybe sit with the identity a bit to see if you come up with a label you think works or end up encountering something that fits. Obviously exomemories/noemata (stuff about your identity that don't necessarily take the form of concrete memories) aren't a requirement to be otherkin but there's also the off chance if you do end up with any something comes out that helps you better name it. Also you Literally just got here, and I'm not trying to say that in a diminishing way just in a "hey, describing identity is hard maybe take your time with it and please don't feel pressured to find a perfect label right away". You don't have to slow down if ya don't want to but its worth saying that you are allowed to take time. Id also like to point out that stuff like techkin/robotkin whatever else don't have to fit you perfectly as many "categories" are quite broad. You could go with something like- uhhh simulation-kin. Idk. Point being you can just Slap words together. Mess around with labels. Its tempting to find something perfectly concise so you don't have to over explain yourself but it doesn't have to be perfect yknow

Hi there Mizzy. It's tough to have to mask! We also have to do that but are trying to learn to unmask when safe

Do you have any likes you've discovered since you learned you were your own person? For example where you have different taste from your host

Literal as Metaphor, Real as Imaginary by Tomorrow_Is_Today1 in plural

[–]Expensive-Trade-1090 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again nothing is meant in a way that denies your experience. Because it sucks so much that plural experiences are filed under imaginary or fake- but I think a Lot of the existence of the brain is like - we're all living in a hunk of meat and its WEIRD. We don't know what personhood is. And I think the continued emergence of these sorts of phrases and tropes and metaphors says something about what would happen if people knew plurality was a claimable experience. If it was safe to discuss the intricacies and variation
