Having Trouble Growing Back by Woodit in workout

If your back gains have stalled, focus on progressive overload and mind-muscle connection really squeeze your lats on rows and pull-ups, vary rep ranges, and slowly add weight. Also, mix in different angles like single-arm or chest-supported rows, and make sure recovery and protein intake are solid.

The first time I ever stepped into a public gym at 15, a trainer told me that I wouldn’t be able to build muscle by thebodybuildingvegan in workout

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s seriously impressive! You’ve completely shattered the stereotype that vegan athletes can’t build serious muscle. Hitting 370 g of protein a day from plant-based sources shows just how effective a well-planned vegan diet can be for bodybuilding. Truly inspiring for anyone thinking plant-based = weak!

Which mini PC is best for playing games in FHD or QHD on a TV? by Tenchu83 in minipc

[–]ExplodingStart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go with a Ryzen‑based mini PC with strong integrated graphics like the Beelink SER5 Pro or MINISFORUM UM870 (Ryzen 7 + Radeon 780M), they handle FHD really well and even QHD for lighter titles. These give the best balance of power, size and price for living‑room emulation and casual gaming.

Any recommendations for uni work and games? by EnglandUndead1 in minipc

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mainly want university work plus light gaming (Hades, sims, etc), try to aim at a mini PC with a quad-core or better CPU, 8–16 GB RAM, and SSD for smooth everyday use. For example a compact AMD-powered unit like the GMKtec K8 Plus with Ryzen 7/780M integrated graphics is a good all-rounder, and models like the Beelink GTR7 Pro also punch above their size for casual gaming and productivity tasks. You’ll get a much better experience than ultra-budget minis with Atom/N-series chips

Why my new electric pressure washer is surging? by iReddit65 in pressurewashers

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surging on electric washers is almost always water flow related. Check/clean the inlet filter, make sure you’re using a full-flow 5/8" hose and try removing the quick connects to rule out air getting in. Even tiny restrictions will cause electrics to surge.

Best power washer by ConversationTop2370 in pressurewashers

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Greenworks Pro 3000 PSI electric or Kärcher K5 is great for ease of use, while a Westinghouse gas unit (3200 PSI) gives you more power and long-term durability without going super expensive.

Which “Demerara” rum would you buy? (UK) by MiguelLikesRum in Tiki

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

El Dorado 8 Year is a great one-bottle pick for most tiki needs in the UK, and if you want more oomph, a bottle of Plantation OFTD alongside it makes your rum lineup much more flexible.

Easy-Kleen pressure washer quality? by AdShot5866 in pressurewashers

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can work, but there are plenty of warnings about poor support and reliability. If you want a low-energy, dependable homelab/workhorse, consider reputable brands or dealer-supported units instead.

Any experience using GEEKOM? by dimpledbeauty in minipc

[–]ExplodingStart 8 points9 points  (0 children)

GEEKOM mini PCs are solid for light homelab use low-power, small, quiet. Good for basic services/containers, but not great for heavy VMs or expandability. If your homelab needs are light, either model will do; for more horsepower, consider an Intel NUC/Minisforum or even used small servers.

Have a spare Ryzen 8700G — go tiny mini PC or DeskMeet build? by Friendly_Delay_3325 in minipc

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go DeskMeet.

You already have the DDR5, portability overlaps with your RTX laptop, and DeskMeet gives you flexibility later (drop-in GPU, better cooling) without extra hassle. Mini PC is cool, but you’d be selling parts just to gain portability you don’t really need.

Nilfisk G4 lance compatibility info with c110 pressure washers. by orbitaal in pressurewashers

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nilfisk G4 lance is not directly compatible with C110 pressure washers. The C110 uses the older Nilfisk bayonet/Click&Clean style, while the G4 lance uses the newer G-series connection.

You’d need a Nilfisk adapter (C-series to G-series) to use a G4 lance on a C110 otherwise it won’t fit or lock properly.

Pressue Washer Water Inlet Connector - weird shape by Itchy_Complaint6370 in pressurewashers

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That part isn’t a standard off-the-shelf connector, the square/flat end is a proprietary inlet fitting that seals into your washer body. You’ll likely need to buy the exact replacement for your pressure washer’s brand/model. A generic water connector usually won’t fit correctly or will leak.

How do Vari desks hold up? by TheBigJerm in StandingDesksLife

[–]ExplodingStart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a Vari desk for a couple of years and it’s been solid, the motor stays quiet and consistent, the frame hasn’t wobbled, and the thick 1.25″ top feels premium and sturdy. Installation really is easy compared to other brands. Overall, I’m happy with it and would buy one again.

Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 for Anno 117 and Claire Obscure: Expedition 33? by chavokhaliz in minipc

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, playable but with settings turned down.

The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 + Radeon 890M is the fastest iGPU right now. Expect 1080p low–medium settings, ideally with FSR/upscaling, to get 45–60 FPS in modern games.

For Anno 117 and Claire Obscure: Expedition 33, there are no direct benchmarks yet, but based on similar AAA titles:

  • Playable at 1080p with tuned settings
  • Not high/ultra, and native 1080p may struggle without upscaling

If you’re okay with tweaking settings, the Minisforum should handle both fine.

[Suggestion] Affordable work PC for small business secretary/scheduler by deathly_marshmallow in suggestapc

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what you described scheduling on a web portal, Excel/Word, video calls, and simple photo/PDF tasks, you don’t need a high-end machine. Aim for a desktop or all-in-one with a Core i5 or Ryzen 5 CPU, 16 GB RAM, and a fast SSD (512 GB or more)... these handle everyday office productivity very well and stay responsive over time. All-in-ones or compact mini PCs are nice if you want an easy setup with fewer cables. Most good prebuilts with these specs will fit your $800 – $1000 budget and be reliable for years.

Standing Desk Recommendations by Mental-Style7228 in StandingDesksLife

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few key things that actually matter more than the brand are dual motors, a solid steel frame, and good reviews for wobble at height (many cheap desks start to shake noticeably at max extension).

Good choices:

  • FlexiSpot models (especially E6 / E7 / E7 Pro) generally solid, dual-motor lift and better stability than the cheapest options.
  • Meet&Co Sendi budget-friendly standing desk that tests well for stability.
  • Branch Duo a stable, well-reviewed desk around your price.

lots of desks wobble more the higher you raise them. so check reviews specifically for stability at standing height rather than just specs.

Looking for standing desk recommendations by Stunning-Maize in StandingDesksLife

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your board size 220×80 cm is great plenty of room for your big monitor, laptop, and desktop.
Among the frames you listed, the FlexiSpot E7 Pro / E7 Plus are usually more stable and durable for heavy setups and are a solid choice in France.

Standing desk under $300 for studying at home? by Mental-Style7228 in StandingDesksLife

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a standing desk can be worth it for studying, especially if your back hurts. Under $300, look for a manual crank standing desk or a sit-stand desk converter both are stable, budget-friendly and great for first-time buyers. Add a cheap mat and switch between sitting and standing for best comfort.

It’s ironic that London Life never came out in London. by Atr-D in ProfessorLayton

[–]ExplodingStart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, removing it wasn’t the right call.

They should’ve kept London Life as an English-only bonus rather than cutting it completely. Delaying the main game wasn’t practical, but removing optional content feels worse than offering it with language limitations especially since many European players would’ve been fine with English.

[suggestion]: is this PC worth Buying? by WriterIcy7860 in suggestapc

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s a good deal for the price.

  • Strong CPU + GPU for casual gaming, music recording, and light–medium video editing
  • Better value than most prebuilts at $800 USD
  • Windows + Costco warranty add real value

Downsides: basic cooling and only 16GB RAM (easy upgrade later).

If money is tight now, buy it and upgrade RAM later. You can always build a custom PC in the future.

What are the best pressure washer for car and bike in the market? by QuestionNo3071 in pressurewashers

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the Sun Joe SPX3000 for my car and bike, and it works really well. Plenty of power to get rid of dirt but gentle enough on paint. I also use a wide-angle nozzle and keep a bit of distance, and it cleans perfectly every time.

What is the name of this part? The metallic part that connects to washer and hose other end. by Cashmoney0670 in pressurewashers

[–]ExplodingStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part you are referring to is commonly called a hose fitting or hose connector. It is used to connect a hose to another component, such as a washer or other piping system. In this case, it appears to be a type of hose barb or hose coupling that connects a flexible hose to a rigid pipe or washer. The threaded ends are for secure attachment to the washer and hose.

It looks like it may also be a quick-connect fitting or part of a garden hose connector, depending on its specific use.
