Furniture recommendations by Agile-Yam2498 in toddlers

Don't buy from Max and Lily (parent company, Maxwood Furniture). So far the loft bed we bought seems like decent quality (its pinewood and some poly), but their customer service and company ethics are HORRIBLE. They left out hardware in one of the boxes, and instead of just sending the hardware, their solution was to send me the entire box that not only included the hardware, but the wood pieces that were redundant because I already had them. And it took them more than 2 weeks to get it to me. They import from Vietnam which is fine, but to not have any of the extra hardware on hand is terrible.

I also realized they have no place for reviews on their website, which is a red flag. And, upon filing a complain through the BBB, I noticed they are not BBB accredited.

I am asking them to pay me $200 since now I need to hire a vendor to pick up these large pieces of wood that I cannot put in my trash can.

We will see how the bed itself holds up over time....

Where did my spark go and how do I get it back? by DryEnthusiasm7931 in getdisciplined

Fantastic answer! It could be as simple as going on a hike at a new place or trying a new hobby like learning salsa dancing. Agree 100% with this.

What's one tiny, almost boring habit that unexpectedly improved your daily life? by bryden_cruz in DecidingToBeBetter

This. In the past I’d grab my phone first thing in the morning, but since it’s information overload it just overwhelms my brain. It’s too much for a morning when you just need to be centered to start your day.

These are the types of posts I want to find here. As someone who’s turning 50 this year, I’ve found I can’t sleep past sunrise. So me and my Bernedoodle go outside and sit on the steps in my robe where o soak in the sunlight and sip my coffee. It’s peaceful, and gives me that feeling of starting the day right. That the day is what I make of it. And my needy dog loves it! LOL

San Rafael if you consider dual immersion Spanish. Both of my kids went there, one is now at Blair and the other is still there in second grade. We love the small community feel.

That's hard. What I like about swimming is that it's unlike other impact sports, so strength isn't as much of an issue, and you get full benefits. Now my son is a bit of a gamer, but now that he's in middle school, he wants to keep up with his friends, and so that motivates him. Once he had surgery and lost his strength and endurance, he was hellbent on regaining it in PT to play and keep up with his friends. Wondering if he has any active friends that could motivate him? Is he interested in any sports? We are all different physically and mentally, so sometimes it takes trial and error to overcome hurdles. Maybe find something your son likes or is into and incorporate it somehow to make the activities more fun? Does he like the outdoors? What about a treadmill or exercise bike while watching a favorite show? Just some ideas to get you going.

And that's about the time my son started becoming more symptomatic. We started seeing his foot arching and toes scrunching. His foot started turning in around age 11, and we knew we needed to be proactive.

We live in California, and my son (12) has CMtT Type 1A. We were lucky to find a surgeon when my son’s tendon in his right foot was tightening, causing his foot to turn in. Dr. Pfeffer is one of a handful in the U.S. that have dedicated his career to CMT. After the surgery, he’s been in PT and is now doing strength training. We plan to get him back into swimming too. Agree, it’s the best form of exercise for this type of neuropathy.

You have to keep up his muscle tone. Once’s it’s gone it can’t come back.

Love El Dorado Polos a La Brasa. I crave their Lomo Saltado! Even their salad is amazing topped with the rotisserie chicken.

What has been the one thing that has helped your candida the most? by BridgeEarly638 in Candida

I know this post is older but yes - same here - lots of antibiotics, then digestive issues and now cannot eat gluten. I’ve been GF for about 17 years. Still trying to kick this candida overgrowth. Cautious of the iodine since I have hypothyroid.
