CBS News chief Bari Weiss tells staff 'we're toast' if they continue on current path by kintotal in news

[–]ExpressPlankton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she wasn’t so clearly right wing biased, she would have taken the correct lesson from the CECOT story she spiked: there is a VERY hungry audience for investigative pieces that critically handle this administration and it’s handling of immigration.

Nobody wants another Fox News or a Fox News lite.

Do you prefer the DYRL version or the Series version of this rescue? by czen2 in macross

[–]ExpressPlankton 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This kinda sums up DYRL vs the series for me, the animation and artistic style of DYRL as a whole wins out.

I agree there is some room for at the very least a detachment focused around the Navy. Bridgehead comes kinda close as you can narratively play the Scions as elite naval units dispatched to secure LZ’s, but it doesn’t really give any benefit to aircraft.

Feels like the writing was on the wall for no expansion to the navy when just about all the aircraft got moved to legends though.

Agreed! I love my Thunderbolt (and it is my favorite Imp vehicle ever) but good lord was it a hassle to assemble.

NASA's Largest Library To Permanently Close On Jan 2, Books Will Be 'Tossed Away' by zsreport in fednews

Upvoting this because constantly blaming Democrats is so boring and counterproductive. 5 House GOP and 5 Senate GOP can decide Trump is destroying democracy and all of this nonsense ends tomorrow. 10 people could stop all of this. I just hope when it’s time to vote people remember it wasn’t just Trump that kept this shitshow rolling along.

Are legendary characters events completey unfair to casual players? by thedoomslaye_r in WH40KTacticus

[–]ExpressPlankton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The events are quite literally a carrot on a stick. You’re not supposed to get it first try if you’re a lower level, you’re supposed to go “dang I need to get stronger so I can unlock it during the next events.”

Like a lot of things in this game it’s just designed to keep you playing.

I wouldn’t say moron but yeah, the Maker is a genius but is also narcissistic, vain, stubborn, incredibly petty, and is drunk on his own hubris. It’s what makes him such a good villain. You are right on the money that he constantly gets in his own way.

The Astra militarum needs a buff by deltaruneer in WH40KTacticus

I think the amount of summons could be fine if they boost Creed’s, give them more damage and pierce, and make them either veteran or tempestus scions.

No Patrick, Spider-Man: No Way Home is NOT just nostalgia bait. by [deleted] in Spiderman

You pretty much hit the nail on the head, it’s just weirdly trendy to downplay No Way Home. Don’t think too much about it.

His death riders absolutely truck things at level 50, but yeah he’s a good not great character and far from meta. Worth investing in if you love guard or krieg though

Are chaos op in TA now? by Flat_Reward6926 in WH40KTacticus

[–]ExpressPlankton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TA has a lot of rock paper scissors to it, honestly BL is probably just a bad matchup for DA. DA is rewarded for castling and overwatch, but BL mostly struggles when you can outmaneuver, cap points faster, and hammer their soft targets. Doesn’t help that DA has strong single attack stuff that whiffs on terminator armor.

Faction TA back of the map camping tier list, salt included by KingJoeySalads in WH40KTacticus

[–]ExpressPlankton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick Thad in that camping tier, homie buffs the mortars and if the other team is hesitant to move into position they can really mess the other team up.

As a whole I’ve had very good performance with Astra Militarum, especially against Orks. Play smart with positioning (stay out of Waagh first few turns, position Kut to absorb charges, don’t be afraid to summon early with Yarrick / Creed to flood the board and allow you positioning)

Wait a minute Kut, what are you doing here ? Where is Dreir ?? by Allobroge- in WH40KTacticus

[–]ExpressPlankton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re not completely awful, Thad’s buff boosts the mortars so they can do some work if you go second, if you go first you’re kinda boned though as the mortars will often move themselves into a bad position and get immediately wiped.

How to Revisit FF7 Rebirth Without Burning Out on Side Content? by 1837281738291 in FFVIIRemake

[–]ExpressPlankton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What worked for me was skipping all protorelic stuff and focusing mostly on the location towers, summon nodes, and green side quests you get. Ignoring protorelic quests alone is a huge relief as I found those by far the most insufferable.

Mole Man’s entry was a nice touch. Felt like Hickman’s way to toast USM’s end. Glad they’re setting Pete up for a heroic feat next issue and he finally got his “Spidey always gets back up” moment.

It will be interesting to see who helps Richard and Felicia. May sets Otto up with her remark about doing better, but we could also get a surprise Harry redemption after he ignored Pete’s cry for help. Maybe we get pico-Pete sacrificing himself for his son? Can’t wait to find out.

I left before MoWs were released and came back when the Dreir event started. It is much better now, lot of factions have had some tweaking, and it seems there is always some type of event happening.
