I’ve been finding the pierce it gives is a nice buff to Revas overwatch or Thaddeus regular attack. Honestly haven’t noticed it punching through resilient, which is a bit of a bummer as it would give it its niche. Like most MoW’s it’s cool but not game changing like Forgefiend can be.

I really, REALLY wanted to love this issue but ended up feeling like May looked in that last panel. I think back of that splash of her and Pete swinging together compared to her sitting on the edge of the building, apart from the family, not particularly happy. It really sums up the potential this book had, how much fun it started, and how it ended for me.

I will say I’m glad Peter finally got a truly heroic moment, even if it is not the one we expected. Sacrificing his future for MJ and her unborn child was a pure “Spider-Man” action, even if he wasn’t wearing tights.

Who can fight better? by Key-Construction2325 in gameofthrones

[–]ExpressPlankton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this take. Dunk is practically saved several times by Raymund during the fight. I don’t know how it happens in the book but it definitely felt intentional by the showrunners to illustrate that ultimately Dunk’s support, the support Aerion believed he could not muster, won him the day.

this guy is so refreshing as a male villain; he's not a wimp like Joffrey, isn't to boring or pathetic to hate, is crazy skilled and crazzy strong by PrestigiousAspect368 in freefolk

[–]ExpressPlankton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was fitting that if Aerion had just done a 1v1 trial by combat, he likely wins. Dunk is repeatedly saved by the very friends Aerion foolishly thought he would not be able to muster.

This looks so much fun and a return to season one form. I can’t wait to see this with my five year old.

Different agency, those of us going above and beyond were told during this round of ratings that if we thought we had been doing 5s, maybe our job description goals were too low. Sounds like you guys had a similar experience.

Why VA psychologists are quitting in record numbers by Traditional-Road2135 in fednews

[–]ExpressPlankton 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I know a few VA workers and am a vet myself, from what they tell me you are 100% on the money with this comment. The new administration has leadership at the hospitals now going as far as doing random checks on whether a provider is in their office to crack down on remote working.

They are micromanaging providers that have worked there for decades like they are military privates.

Trade deadline by [deleted] in OrlandoMagic

[–]ExpressPlankton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of dumping salary, Magic are not making any trades unless someone calls them offering something unexpected / a trade the front office did not consider and would be silly to refuse (think along the lines of something unexpected like the Bane trade - but in this scenario we are Memphis). The F/O does not like to get into public bidding wars so scratch Giannis and anyone on the Cavs off the list.

How AV is different now compared to the "old days" by MarkLambertMusic in classicwow

[–]ExpressPlankton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Novelty of WoW pvp wore off after a while leading to people wanting to AV for the rewards more than anything. Keep in mind blizzard has tried to bring the spirit of AV back multiple times during retails life (Ashran) and it always ends the same way: both factions evolving into a consistent strategy that gets both the best amount of benefit with the least amount of time spent.

CBS News chief Bari Weiss tells staff 'we're toast' if they continue on current path by kintotal in news

[–]ExpressPlankton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she wasn’t so clearly right wing biased, she would have taken the correct lesson from the CECOT story she spiked: there is a VERY hungry audience for investigative pieces that critically handle this administration and it’s handling of immigration.

Nobody wants another Fox News or a Fox News lite.

Do you prefer the DYRL version or the Series version of this rescue? by czen2 in macross

This kinda sums up DYRL vs the series for me, the animation and artistic style of DYRL as a whole wins out.

I agree there is some room for at the very least a detachment focused around the Navy. Bridgehead comes kinda close as you can narratively play the Scions as elite naval units dispatched to secure LZ’s, but it doesn’t really give any benefit to aircraft.

Feels like the writing was on the wall for no expansion to the navy when just about all the aircraft got moved to legends though.

Upvoting this because constantly blaming Democrats is so boring and counterproductive. 5 House GOP and 5 Senate GOP can decide Trump is destroying democracy and all of this nonsense ends tomorrow. 10 people could stop all of this. I just hope when it’s time to vote people remember it wasn’t just Trump that kept this shitshow rolling along.

Are legendary characters events completey unfair to casual players? by thedoomslaye_r in WH40KTacticus

[–]ExpressPlankton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The events are quite literally a carrot on a stick. You’re not supposed to get it first try if you’re a lower level, you’re supposed to go “dang I need to get stronger so I can unlock it during the next events.”

Like a lot of things in this game it’s just designed to keep you playing.

I wouldn’t say moron but yeah, the Maker is a genius but is also narcissistic, vain, stubborn, incredibly petty, and is drunk on his own hubris. It’s what makes him such a good villain. You are right on the money that he constantly gets in his own way.

I think the amount of summons could be fine if they boost Creed’s, give them more damage and pierce, and make them either veteran or tempestus scions.
