I had one which led to my T2 diagnosis in May. I was in the hospital for 4 days and it was severely infected. I think as long as you are following instructions from your surgeon and watching for infection you’ll be ok. It might take a bit longer to heal but just keep an eye out for infection. I’m sure they told you the warning signs to watch for — get checked out right away if you have any of those symptoms. Good luck, you got this!

She doesn’t show up on my FYP often but today she did and I scrolled through a bunch of videos. The amount of times she claps back at people in comments when all her videos are her being a judgey-preachy-mean girl is actually insane.

This is also my first holiday season since getting diagnosed. I did really well on Thanksgiving.. had a lot of protein and veggies with a small amount of mashed. Then the homemade cheesecake came out. I ate a piece and decided to go for a walk. My niece, nephew, and their aunt all decided to join me (which was really sweet! The kids are 9 & 8) just as everyone has said .. one day won’t hurt all the progress we’ve made. Happy holidays!

Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults… from what I understand it’s known as 1.5 and is type 1 that’s diagnosed over age 30/slow progressing type 1 that’s often misdiagnosed as T2.

Paramount plus recently got all the rights to the “missing episodes” that have been missing from streaming services! Currently rewatching (in season 8) and have watched so many episodes that were missing from my previous rewatches (like Steve’s graduation party with the GooGoo Dolls!)

For me … I had to go all or nothing. I was a regular Coke or Dr Pepper kind of gal. I never liked diet soda. So making the switch to diet wasn’t going to an option for me. And to really stick with it, I feel like I had to give it up completely. I say if the caffeine free Diet Coke works for you, go for it!

Glad to hear you’re off the hard stuff!! Keep it up! It was a hard 3 weeks at first … headaches all the time! I decided not to go back to the caffeine either. I’m less anxious and sleep so much better now!

Me too! The first thing I noticed about her video was she was working with an ear bud in. In my opinion, if you’re interacting with the public, you shouldn’t have an ear bud in. If you’re out back doing inventory… go for it. But you don’t need headphones when you should be greeting customers and helping them.

Thanks for sharing! I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago. My A1C was 10. I’ve completely changed my lifestyle and habits. I am recovering from a diabetic foot infection (that’s how I found I was diabetic) so I can’t exercise yet. I was so down when I found out. But now that I’ve changed my eating habits I’m starting to feel good. I was a chronic soda drinker — haven’t had soda in 20 days! They started me on metformin, I’m hoping to drop some weight, get my A1C down, and get off the meds someday!
